Negative experience: While the gym itself may be decent, the contracts and customer communication are problematic. The contracts are rigid and heavily weighted against the customer, offering little flexibility or transparency. The process to address issues or make changes is often difficult and unhelpful, making it feel like a struggle just to get straightforward information. If the gym genuinely provided a good experience, they wouldn’t rely on such aggressive terms and challenging communication to manage their memberships.

Fantastic experience: Member for 4 months now. The gym is just homely. Small and cosey yet never cramped and rarely ever busy. Always a very positive and open atmosphere with a smiling and very approachable staff. Always clean and tidy, including all equipment and toilets/showers (my guy just dont stop cleaning! Lol). Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Not a huge gym as many anytime fitness gyms are, but more than sufficient unless you are training to be an athlete. Very clean and weights are always properly placed. And best thing is that it's not very crowded after staffed hours.

Fantastic experience: As gyms in London go this has been my favourite, always clean and tidy, weights always on the rack in the right place and machines always in working condition. One thing I will say this gym excels at is cleanliness of changing area and bathrooms, absolute top tier. All round great value for money.

Positive experience: Very well equipped gym and not too crowded. The free classes such as Yoga, Pilates and Zumba especially add variety and the instructors are pro. The only recommendation is regarding key card inconvenience needing phone or chip and also the payment for it which is nearly the same as a month worth fee. But otherwise, quality gym in the neighborhood with all equipment.

Positive experience: This gym could not be in a better location. If you live anywhere near Roman Road you have no excuse not to pop in for a workout. Jessy and the rest of the staff are really lovely and helpful, and you can get a free trial session to try out the gym. It is quite a small space so only 1 of most machines, but it has everything you need and you never have to wait for long for machines to come free.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this gym, very clean, well kept, friendly staff and convenient for me as I do live local. I haven’t had a bad experience here at all and I’ve been a member for about 6 months now and would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Anytime Fitness Bow for over 6 months now and it's been great! This location is on the smaller size but I mostly use the studio space when it's not being used for classes which works well for me. The staff are always helpful and the classes are good. It can get busy at peak times but during the day it's pretty empty.

Negative experience: Have tried a lot of gyms and this might be the worst. Missing lots of basic equipment like proper deadlift plates and area, leg curl machine, quad extension machine, pec fly + rear delt fly machine, assisted pull up/dip machine, stair master. Tiny gym so have to wait for virtually everything. Upstairs area so cramped you can’t stand up straight and are at risk of bumping your head whilst doing abdominal crunches. Not open 24hours - gym was closed during the day yesterday; a Tuesday! Puregym down the road is better and cheaper, but I am locked into a contract here which I am really regretting.

Fantastic experience: Nice, adequately sized gym. Just try not to go during peak hours or you will spend time waiting for your turn. There is not much space to wait so it gets awkward.

Negative experience: No matter how good the gym might be, the attitude towards customers is terrible. Aggressive contracts (minimum three months, no possibility of less even if you're willing to pay more), hidden charges (contracts must be full calendar month - I signed up for 3 months on September 2nd and this means I effectively have a 4 month contract), £35 fob fee, £25 replacement fob fee, completely unrepresentative of any kind of reasonable cost. If the gym is any good they shouldn't need to act this way.

Negative experience: Constantly overcrowded. Small gym, not well equipped, at all.

Fantastic experience: A compact and clean gym with a good selection of free weights and machine weights. Staff are friendly , helpful and professional. Especially Jubedha, Bill and Jess. Who are a great asset to the gym. Keep up the great work

Fantastic experience: This gym is the absolute best! :) I moved to Bow about a year ago, and was ecstatic to discover this hidden gem! I’d been a strict and loyal member to TheGymGroup for about 5 years, but can confirm that AFB is far cleaner, less crowded, and much closer to my flat. I was apprehensive to change gyms as my old gym was like my second home, where I knew everyone and felt safe and at ease with all the PTs there, but genuinely think AFB has the loveliest atmosphere and I don’t plan on leaving as long as I live here! :) Shout out to the amazing staff too, so so welcoming, down to earth, friendly and ready to help with anything- especially Simon who is an absolute legend and makes my day at the gym! ♥️ Only thing I’d say is I’d love AFB to have just one more barbell! Positive experience: I love this gym, clean and we'll equipped. but it's annoying when out of staff hours anyone can enter and take advantage of the facilities. One of the reason I avoid going late night. I also left my very expensive water bottle from harrods there... I'm sure gym Members won't nick it.

Fantastic experience: Was one of the first 100 members who joined when the gym opened. Nice cosy local gym and the only thing I would say is they really need to put an AC upstairs as it gets really warm in the summer. A pectoral fly machine would be an amazing replacement for the shoulder one next to the stairs which no one uses.

Negative experience: Small but clean and has mostly what you need. Be very careful as they charge £25 for a replacement fob which is pretty ridiculous as most gyms offer them for free or like a £5 fee. The website says “replacements are a small fee” but not sure in what world is £25 a small fee. Will likely be cancelling soon out of principle in favour of Puregym on Grove Road.

Negative experience: Today I went here for tour the gym .one lady open the door. no welcoming. She talked rudely like she felt booed to show the gym. .tiny gym . There is not enough equipment. Too expensive. I asked her a questions. She don’t even answer properly … they charge 44.95£ months +36.50£ for access fob ..it’s really expensive for such tiny place. Staff rude..never recommend this place…

Fantastic experience: I really enjoy the classes instructed by Carly! She is always energetic and positive and comes up with new things for us to do, which she tailors to each person’s needs and abilities. I feel I have really progressed and look forward to the classes in my week!

Negative experience: Worst service. Always problem with the entrance door. Rebecca Watkins Club manager cannot even draft an email properly. Don't even know how to write. Emails of Rebecca are like as if she is chatting with someone on WhatsApp. Very rude, No professionalism at all.

Negative experience: Really bad gym over priced and over crowded. The 1sr floor has really low hanging ceilings to get to some equipment you have to bend down or risk banging your head. They have only 1 machine per body part 1 chest machine upstairs so you cant get a decent work out. It's over crowded in the free weights section with alot of toxic masculine energy people forcing you off machines. No staff looking see what's going on so you get people leaving their belongings on equipment and then returning to use it or on their mobiles while sitting on machines meaning others can't use it and also getting forced off a machine by @ssholes when you haven't even finished your set meaning you can't get a proper workout after paying £40 odd quid.

Negative experience: Went with my Gympass that cost £22.99 instead of the £44 they charge, lady at the gym said i can only use the Gympass during 8am to 8pm it's a 24 hour gym apparently they don't like working with Gympass that's been cancelled now

Fantastic experience: Great lil 24hr gym, gets a lil packed at times. If the parents of the boys in the photos see this. Please speak to them. I hope they become future users of the gym and be health conscious young men. But for now it should not be used as a hangout and they shouldn’t disturb members.

Fantastic experience: Great little gym with good knowledgeable people running it who are happy to help you if needed. Sometimes gets busy in the early evening but I haven't been to a gym yet that doesn't have peak times when its tough to get on equipment. Weekends don't get too busy. Vast majority of members are courteous and don't hog equipment although there are a few that need to be shown how to put weights away.....again same at all gyms. Has equipment for all levels from complete novices to very keen amateurs, probably not somewhere for the competitive bodybuilder or cross fitter but that's not its audience. Would recommend this place definitely!

Negative experience: Minimum equipment. Don’t have basic ones also bench press is broken and it’s not fixed under investigation for second week……

Fantastic experience: I've always been self conscious about my body and going to the gym, it's all about the body. To my surprise I find myself attending anytime fitness quite alot. Simon and Jesse are the two staff I engage with the most, they are friendly, extremely helpful and have made me feel welcome & comfortable. I'm more confident, no longer self conscious, and this is the first time I've ever been to a gym in my life! And it's all thanks to the way Simon and Jesse have helped me. The classes are great and instructors are attentive to each individuals needs and they ensure you are getting the technique right. It's almost like having a personal trainer, without the high cost! There are times where we've done 1:1 sessions using the machines in the gym. Also, the instructors will notice the way you do a workout and will correct you or in my case ask if I had any injuries as I seem to lean on one side, and find ways to resolve that. Their app is great for booking classes and also has fitness workout examples. I highly recommend this gym, its quite different to the ones I've trialled before in the sense that it meets my individual needs, and I'm not just going there like a headless chicken not knowing what to do, which can be tough as a beginner.

Negative experience: AVOID. Not worth the money you pay for the conditions you get - dirty and dusty machines, poor customer service and a senseless contract that you’re stuck with. Do not recommend

Fantastic experience: The staff are great and friendly and are always trying to help. I've found them to communicate at all times. Got to remember that they have been restricted themselves and all suffered from the pandemic. I know that they are working earlier just to make sure the gym is super clean each day. Honestly this is a great place to work out.

Positive experience: I attended the facility for a year and a half and had nothing but a good experience. I then cancelled my membership over the phone in May when they were shut during the pandemic, which ended up not being recorded as I was emailed months later with an arrears notice. Though I called and they rectified it immediately. Still unsure why there was no record of my cancellation, but I'm glad they were able to fix the problem. Anytime I talked to the staff in person/over the phone they were always lovely! EDIT: After this issue came up again with regards to me owing money, I spoke to Rebekah, the manager, and she sorted it out for me right away.

Negative experience: This gym is beyond appalling. it is not clean, classes are cancelled without alerting registered members, and communication is awful. I have membership issues and the manager NEVER replies to emails or voice messages. funny that here they say to contact them, but the reality is that they don't reply and you are left in limbo. Yet they keep on sending threatening messages both via mail and via sms which cause mental distress. do now waste your money with them. it is the worse gym I have been to.

Negative experience: The management at this gym have demonstrated such poor communication. I have called and emailed them multiple times about issues surrounding cancelling my membership, and not only do they ignore me but they never follow up on what I ask them to do. Even on student discount, I was paying £39.95 per month for a very small gym with staff absent more than half the time. On top of being ripped off, they insist on taking payments for months when I have not even visited the gym due to the pandemic situation. The outright lack of common decency is appalling. Save yourself the trouble and go to a more affordable gym with more competent staff.

Negative experience: Heartless management. During these difficult times forcing people to pay for cancellations. Just added some pictures (emails and SMS) as proof.

Negative experience: Avoid joining this gym. Members who are unable to come to gym because of Covid-19 (due to genuine health reasons) are facing harassment through emails to make payments. Even though memberships have been cancelled during lockdown the automated intimidating emails are being sent. The management has no compassion. Harassment during these difficult times will lead to mental health problems. How can this gym claim to be championing good health and wellbeing. Utterly disappointing.

Positive experience: Your average anytime gym.. credit to the staff as it is always in the best shape it can be in. Very clean and tidy.. However the owner of this particular franchise is a bit of a fox having the shower timer down to well under 30sec.. a little annoying having to press the button some many times to wash yourself, to say the least..says a lot about the owner in my opinion. I understand it is a big cost to have constant hot.. But maybe don't be in gym business then, as a good shower is a must to a good gym. Just stingy on your part mate

Fantastic experience: First time joining in the boxersice class this morning, I've never boxed before, but the instructor Bobby adjusted the class for all levels. Great workout and a good laugh, suitable for all genders. Would reccomend for anyone looking to learn to box or just get fit.

Negative experience: It's been a month since one of the only 2 showers, broke and nobody bothered to fix it. As a result, we have to queue to have a shower. There are towels and clothes left all over the gym and nobody bothers throwing them to the bin. And then, it's a 24/7 gym but there's nobody there at night to assist you or help you if something goes wrong. And it's the most expensive gym in the area. Step your game up guys, there are competitors offering better services in half your prices.

Positive experience: Pretty decent gym. Friendly staff, everything is clean. Quite small so feels busy quite easily. Just a note that isn't the gym's fault, but when working out on the stair master, I've twice had men make lewd gestures at me from outside the gym. It's quite unpleasant and uncomfortable. I would maybe ask that they fog out the last window/door area.
