Fantastic experience: Wonderful treatment here with acupuncture for my back. I suffer from bad back pain from my office job, and Charlotte gave me an amazing service: making me comfortable and kindly leading me through my first experience of acupuncture. I have noticed great improvements in my back after 3 sessions and will be back again for more appointments!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Charlotte for the last couple of months as preparation for my egg retrieval and subsequent IVF, after having a friend highly recommend acupuncture as beneficial to a successful IVF process. This was the first time I’m trying acupuncture due to my fear of needles, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. Charlotte has an extremely calming presence and is very knowledgable about fertility and the processes happening in a woman’s body through her cycle. She’s made me feel relaxed about not just IVF, but also needles in general. I enjoy my time with her and my scans are showing higher than usual numbers of egg follicles. I’d highly recommend Charlotte to anyone in SE London going through the same process and looking for something to help with anxiety and general preparedness for IVF/egg retrieval.

Fantastic experience: I took my 14 year old daughter to see Charlotte as she had been suffering from very painful debilitating periods. Charlotte was warm and friendly and very reassuring to a teenager who had never had acupuncture and was afraid of needles. My daughter has enjoyed each appointment, finding it very relaxing, and most importantly her symptoms have eased so much that she barely notices her period now.

Fantastic experience: I went to go and see Charlotte regarding some general neck pain I’ve been having and opted for acupuncture to try something different as I’d also been struggling with headaches. Fantastic experience: Charlotte creates a peaceful, positive space in her home that has a level of personalisation that you can’t achieve in a clinic setting. I gave acupuncture a try after trying to conceive for over a year. I conceived after 2 sessions and have since continued attending weekly sessions. Whilst one can never know what brings about the magic moment of conception I truly believe the acupuncture has had a positive benefit for me. Charlotte’s treatment has helped me through ovulation, conception, some moderate early bleeding at 6 weeks and so far (tap wood) no morning sickness at 8 weeks! I’ll continue to see Charlotte weekly throughout my first trimester ☺️

Fantastic experience: I went to Charlotte because of pain in my Achilles that I wanted to try and ease before a race. It was my first time trying acupuncture but Charlotte put me at ease and made the process surprisingly relaxing. I really liked her holistic approach. As well as the acupuncture she showed me how to use acupressure to help with the pain and gave me guidance on nutrition and anti-inflammatory foods. Fantastic experience: I came to Charlotte after my stroke recovery has started to plateau. My main concern was trying to stimulate some nerve endings. After first session I generally felt uplifted. After a month I noticed the energy flowing through affected side for the first time in five years. A true miracle! Fantastic experience: Due to chronic inflammation issues, I decided to seek out alternative methods to help manage the inflammation and discovered acupuncture. Acupuncture has definitely improved my life.  My treatment experience was excellent.  My body responds well to acupuncture, so it usually just takes one session to eliminate the pain I’m experiencing, especially the patella inflammation I experience. The office is nice and relaxing and Charlotte listens to your problems.  She is very professional. Great place! I would recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic experience: A really positive Acupuncture experience, I would highly recommend.

Negative experience: Unfortunately my experience wasn’t great. I booked for labour induction acupuncture. I emailed a couple of days before to book this, no question was asked about how many weeks pregnant I was. To learn on the day at the session you had to be overdue by 3 days to get this was annoying as there is no mention of this on the website and I wasn’t asked when booking. I ended up taking a pre birth acupuncture as the lady wouldn’t do the induction acupuncture. I thought it was a waste of time and money. It should be stated on the website that you have to be 3 days overdue to get labour inducing acupuncture or atleast be asked before taking a booking as most websites online say after 39 weeks is ok to get this, but this clinic has said it needs to be 40 weeks plus 3 days but no mention of this when booking or on website. £85 was very expensive for something I didn’t want.

Fantastic experience: I have experienced many benefits from acupuncture with Charlotte, beginning immediately after the first session. The treatments are very pleasant and leave you feeling restored and with a deep sense of well being. She was very quickly able to solve my issue in a very supportive and caring manner.

Fantastic experience: As someone who has had a variety of treatments I am a big advocate for acupuncture. It is relaxing and cathartic experience. Charlotte Steed is kind and supportive in her role and offers sound advice and guidance as to what will be most effective. The room was quiet and tranquil and conducive to healing and relaxation. Having had a series of treatment I would highly recommend the Blackheath Acupuncture Space. It aided the conception of my second child and was a turning point in me becoming more able to manage in stressful situation and the busyness of life. I have also had it for pain relief when I broke my wrists and needed some intervention. This was also critical in managing my expectations and getting better emotionally as well as physically.

Fantastic experience: Charlotte is a professional and very experienced acupuncturist- in my second pregnancy I was experiencing hip & back pain which was significantly reduced and relieved by having frequent sessions. I also found it beneficial for stress relief & for promoting relaxation. Charlotte shows interest and works with her clients to ensure they are receiving optimal treatment for the ailment at hand.

Fantastic experience: Charlotte provides a very bespoke, efficient acupuncture service in a calm and caring manner. Premises are clean and comfortable. I am so far fortunate in experiencing good results from weekly acupuncture sessions (for menstrual cycle resumption during perimenopause) for the last 10 weeks. I had a 4/5 day period last month after not having had a proper one for 15 months. An added bonus is that there is almost always free parking available very near her Blackheath premises.

Fantastic experience: I saw Charlotte throughout 2018 following a first attempt at IVF and a subsequent miscarriage. I was anxious about trying again and, having had a mixed experience with acupuncture the first time round, was nervous about finding the right support for me. Charlotte treated me throughout the procedure, during pregnancy and in preparation for birth, and my daughter was born safely a few weeks ago. I have no doubt that Charlotte's professional, calming and individualised expertise was a big part of that. She is a truly lovely person and practitioner and I will be going back to her if we try IVF again, or for any other health and well-being problems.
