Fantastic experience: It’s the cleanest gym I’ve ever been to. There’s loads of car parking. There’s a stash of spare grips if you forget yours. All the equipment works and is clean. Everyone puts the equipment away properly. There are many little things which when combined make a superb service. Every now and again they send a post card to say well done for whatever it is you have recently achieved. There are loads of different events and seminars. They love giving out free t-shirts. You don’t need to be fit to join. You don’t need to be confident either, I’m really shy and socially awkward and nearly everyone makes an effort to be friendly, even when they don’t get much back from me . The coaches are all absolutely focussed on coaching all individuals during class. This is on a different level to other gyms. Ben B is my favourite coach because he tries to be funny.
Fantastic experience: Returning back after a hip replacement and gradually easing myself back in with the Massive Masters crew, the coaches have been superb on my individual training needs ensuring my body is kept safe. All the coaches are mint. I think Ben has been outstanding. Offering me alternatives and making sure I’m not over doing it but at the same time pushing me, knowing my limits. ❤️ MT

Fantastic experience: After years of my cousins encouraging me to join Method, I finally took the plunge and attended my first-ever CrossFit class in January & it’s completely transformed my approach to exercise! Having never consistently trained (& not really having any idea as to what I was doing) I’ve always found exercise & gyms in particular to be quite intimidating, but everyone I’ve met at Method has been so friendly, supportive and made me feel really welcome! So far I’ve had classes with Jamie, Mark, Alex, Caroline & Hannah who have all been incredibly motivating, they really focus on you individually, tailoring exercises to your ability while encouraging you to challenge yourself and go further every class. In just six weeks, I’ve already seen noticeable improvements in my fitness. For the first time I actually look forward to going to the gym and investing in my health and wellbeing. My only regret is I didn’t start sooner!!!
Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of Method for 2 months now. The staff are so so knowledgable and helpful and the members are really friendly. I was (and still am) a complete CrossFit novice but I absolutely love the classes. There are so many choices for times, I do 2 x 8pm and 1 x 9:30am per week which means I can still do bedtimes for my toddler. It’s the first time I’ve gone to exercise classes and fully completed the hour without giving in or trying to cut corners. The atmosphere is so warm and supportive that everyone wants to see each other succeed. It truly spurs you on to try your best. Staff are so on the ball during classes too that it feels like you’re getting a PT session each time. Nobody hides at the back at Method. If you’re on the fence, give it a try, you’ll be hooked.

Fantastic experience: From the initial induction, method has been class. I was a bit apprehensive going from general gym stuff to CrossFit but after joining my only regret is I didn’t do it sooner! All of the coaches make an effort to introduce themselves, gain an understanding of your level and guide you through any new movements (with a lot of patience!). All of the other members also give loads of support and are ready to help you push through the workouts. I can’t speak highly enough of the onboarding, coaches, coffee and the general feel of the whole place!
Fantastic experience: Joined recently and have been loving it! The classes are good fun but also challenging, the instructors are really friendly and knowledgeable and overall it's just a very welcoming and social place that creates a good environment for getting fitter.
Fantastic experience: I’ve only just started CrossFit at 53 years old so I’m having to learn a lot of new things. The coaches at Method Training are great as they take the time to explain how I can do the exercises at a level suitable for me. The classes are all really welcoming and supportive. I’m seeing differences in my fitness levels already. I was really nervous about starting CrossFit but am glad I did and Method Training gym caters for everyone. It’s very professional and friendly. For people who want to try but are a bit nervous - don’t be. Just give it a try!

The bug has been well and truly restored through world class facilities and coaching.

Fantastic experience: I would 100% recommend Method Training to anyone sat on the fence like I was. Cross fit is completely new to me and seemed quite daunting at first when looking from the outside in however the coaches and the community that Method Training have built couldn't be any more welcoming and supportive. I have loved every session so far and looking forward to many more in the future.
Fantastic experience: I’m someone who has always hated exercise, no matter what I’ve done whether PT, classes etc. I always found it painful and boring. However I’ve done a complete U turn with CrossFit at Method. I can’t believe how much I’m enjoying it! I’m actually getting FOMO when I don’t have a session booked - it just makes you feel so good! Method is such a well maintained facility, everyone is sooo friendly, not just the coaches but the members too. I’ve been partnered up with other members who have kept me right with the timings. The structure of the classes is that you do things in short sharp bursts so you’re not able to get bored, you’re more focusing on learning the moves and feeling really competitive but in a friendly way. They also spend time explaining the technique and letting you practice, and are constantly walking round examining how you are moving and giving feedback. In admiration of how well run the business is - from the app to book and unbook to the WhatsApp service, videos for all moves, to nutrition videos. If you’re thinking of doing a taster just go for it - you’ll understand the hype once you get in there!
Fantastic experience: As someone who has never done weight training before the thoughts of taking up CrossFit as a sport and training regime seemed a step too far. Sure, everything you read from CrossFit stresses the fact that it's scalable and for everyone but seriously, look at the size and fitness levels of the boys and girls that do it!!! That was my view until I discovered Method Training in Newcastle. Wow!! what a place, like no gym I have ever come across. Yes there are plenty of seriously fit people but everyone from the coaches to other members are so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The equipment is first rate, you never have to wait for a piece of kit and the equipment and gym is kept spotless. I started on the free intro session before Christmas, then did the couch to CrossFit course in January, along side jumping into regular classes which were great as the coaches modify any exercises you can't do so you can still get the full work out, and anyone you are paired up with will always help. I'm definitely still learning but enjoying every minute of it! An incredible gym and community that I can't recommend enough!

Fantastic experience: I don't typically write reviews but felt Method Training deserves one.... Since deciding to begin Crossfit as my new sport I decided to give the 10-day trial a go. From entering the door on my first day to finishing my session the team and other members could not be any more welcoming. Each coach knew my name before the class began and made sure I was partnered up during the team workouts. The attention to detail from each of the coaches during the session makes it the ideal place to go to learn new skills and movements. I feel supported during each session and feel there is a great level of progression for all abilities. The classes are easily accessible and the attentiveness of coaches and staff make you feel part of the team. I highly recommend Method Training as the best Crossfit Gym in the North East and look forward to continuing my journey.

There is a coffee shop in the front that has amazing coffees, snacks, and drinks as well as gym accessories, clothes, and supplements. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to do or try Crossfit in Newcastle. A drop in class is £18.
Fantastic experience: Tried Method Training while in Newcastle for Holiday and found the team and other members very welcoming, all instructors went out of their way to introduce themselves and get to know my experience before classes started. All members were very encouraging during the class also. The setup there is great with loads of kit so never had any issues getting what was needed to suit my own needs. Will definitely be using them when visiting in the future!

Fantastic experience: I was debating CrossFit for a while and I’m so pleased I’ve finally made the decision to join Method Training. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, the coaches are honestly amazing! Really does help you both physically and mentally with continuous support which makes you feel safe as well as being pushed to succeed.
Fantastic experience: After becoming tired of standard training in the gym, I found Method Training online and signed up for the 10 day trial. I loved it, I am now a full member, getting fitter and stronger every day. The coaches and other members of the gym are all great, really helpful and the training is amazing. I feel better every day, and there is so much to learn and strive towards, like the gymnastics & oly lifting. Unreal gym, worth every penny.
Fantastic experience: I wish I had found out about Method CrossFit gym sooner. After years of training in the gym and loosing all motivation I really had no idea how to get excited about exercise again. A friend suggested these guys. I am only just in to my 3rd week here but I know that this is somewhere I will stay for good! The gym is extremely well fitted and kitted out. The coaching team are excellent. I have never been to a gym where every one of the team seem so committed to providing you with such excellent training and education. Regular emails and messages from these guys too to gain feedback learn about your goals and to keep you motivated. Not that you will need it as once you start you will be hooked. I can’t recommend Method training enough and I’m excited to see the progress the next few months brings. Anyone who’s looking to be motived and excited about fitness then I really don’t think there is anywhere better.
Fantastic experience: Joined as part of the ‘Couch to CrossFit’ program which was an introduction to CrossFit and great for beginners. It built my confidence massively and I felt entirely comfortable to join the main classes. I’ve since joined as a member and everyone has been so welcoming, the coaches and staff on reception are so friendly and knowledgeable, it’s a great community to be a part of.
Fantastic experience: JOIN, JOIN, JOIN!! I've now been a member for a year, and would certainly class myself as an average athlete. Every class, is accessible, informative and inclusive. The staff (by far) are the biggest pull. They always make you feel welcome, knowledgeable and part of a community. There are various membership options, class times and additional supporting workshops to help you improve on certain elements in CrossFit. My personal favourite being the Barbell Class on a Sunday. The gym itself is extremely well cared for, which rubs off on the members with a more shared responsibility approach. If you are unsure you would like it, I encourage you to contact and join one of their many taster options.

Fantastic experience: I did the 10-day trial over Christmas and was incredibly impressed by all the coaches and staff I trained with. Five days 5 different trainers, all of them knew my name before I started the class, were incredibly professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to be around. I will return to the gym next time I´m in Newcastle, and I recommend that everyone give it a go. Classes run like clockwork, the community is very friendly and welcoming, and the gym and the equipment are outstanding. I can't speak highly enough of the experience that I had there!

Fantastic experience: Lovely place to train. Always has scaled options so I can participate fully. The coaching is great, not just from the coaches but also from others in the class. Great community feel.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic Place, Fun friendly atmosphere - but at the same time, can be very challenging. The workouts are class based usually with a strength / technique start, then a mixed strength and cardio workout. All the moves are proper Crossfit based, with scaling options. The coaches are qualified, and always at hand to assist and give pointers. If your more competitive, they have events every month or so you can book onto. The building itself is great too - premium equipment, changing rooms and a massive warehouse type gym with rigs. The reception is always staffed and has a coffee bar, and little area where you can buy equipment, and protein products and prepared meals. They have an onsite sports nutrition expert that can advise you on diet, whether you are trying to loose weight, or fuel your sports event. Method Training are big on social media, with event photos, tips, Crossfit podcasts and future workout programs. They offer taster sessions of the workouts as an introduction to Crossfit, i would 100% recommend these and become involved.

Fantastic experience: Having been a member for over 3 years now I can honestly say this is the best gym I have ever experienced. Firstly the facility is amazing with lots of high quality, well maintained equipment. The classes are numerous and well structured. The philosophy is that of inclusion for people of all levels from absolute beginner to high level athletes. Finally the staff are all very welcoming, knowledgable and passionate about their sport. I would definitely recommend Method training.

Fantastic experience: Felt a little apprehensive before joining, as crossfit sounds a little intense and I wasn't very strong. I Could'nt have been more wrong, and it has been nice to see people of all abilities and ages change their fitness levels for the better. Really good facilities and the staff are friendly. For me the coffee area and the changing facilities mean I can plan sessions around a busy work life and even work from a nice space if I need to. Every week is different, and I look forward to planning when I will go.

The coaches are very knowledgable, give great support and are just genuinely lovely people. The classes are well structured and the programming caters for all abilities. Fantastic experience: These guys are amazing ! I wasn’t very sporty growing up and as an adult I struggled to be consistent with exercise. Method was amazing at helping me fall into a routine, and I now crave going to the gym. Their trainers are great at what they do and all around nice human beings which makes it easy to learn new movements and techniques. Starting crossfit from zero can feel very intimidating but I was made to feel welcome from the beginning. I genuinely can’t recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I have been training here for a couple of years and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. The facility is immaculate and the team are always looking for ways to improve the offer with new equipment, different classes, and competitions. The coaching & programming is the best I've ever received and there is always an option for all levels in every class which makes it really inclusive. Last, the members are really friendly and encouraging and there's a genuine buzz in the place especially in the bigger classes. Try it, you won't regret it!

I joined after years of inactivity wanting something different to working alone pounding the treadmill to the same work program day week after week in conventional gyms. The workouts leave you with a massive sense of achievement and huge boost to your self esteem! Method's team will take you on a physical and spiritual journey to help you discover the best version of your self. The team are first class in terms of offering a tailored approach to your Crossfit experience. The facilities and equipment are of the highest standard. I have visited many other Crossfit gyms, and Method stands head and shoulders above the rest!

Fantastic experience: I have been training at method for nearly 5 years, the coaches are super knowledgeable and friendly, always there to help you grow and develop. The community of people at method are amazing, everyone is so supportive. The workouts are class, you always come away feeling you have worked hard! Fantastic experience: Method Training is an exceptional fitness concept born from the dedication of it's owner Jamie and his passion for excellence. Everything from the friendly faces on reception, to the top class equipment and spotless facility screams professionalism and quality. The coaching is second to none, with challenging and varied programming for all. Classes and skills are taught consistently across the board and members are supported and encouraged through each session regardless of ability. Staff are always happy to provide additional guidance on stretches and drills to work on at home to improve performance or deal with limitations/injuries etc. However one of the best things, and one of the main reasons I have stayed loyal to MT for nearly 5 years is the community spirit, you really feel like a part of something much bigger than 'just a gym'. I've been lucky enough to visit training facilities all over UK and even further afield but nothing I've come across yet even comes close to Method. I can't recommend it highly enough, do yourself a favour and give it a go...

Fantastic experience: Joined in January and I'm now totally addicted. Amazing facilities and kit but the things that make it are the people who work there and the people who go there. It's brutal but the planning that goes into the programmes makes sure that you can progress and the variety keeps you hooked. It feels very Covid safe and that's due to the efforts put into keeping it spotless and distanced. The admin and booking system is faultless with nice touches like checking in with new members over the first few months. I've never felt fitter and I'm learning new skills all the time. Can't see me doing any other form of fitness again!

Fantastic experience: Great gym, people, staff, equipment and coaching community. The box stands out across the UK not only based on what it does with solid programming, class structure and booking systems but what it doesn’t. Returning to the gym after the initial Lockdown period could have been daunting but Jamie, the staff and coaches worked to ensure risk is managed and everyone understands how to mitigate it whenever possible and long may it continue.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training here for almost five years: fantastic coaching, fantastic facilities, brilliant community. The coffee shop is so so handy as well, especially when you’ve forgotten your breakfast! As a shift-worker the opening hours have been great for building around a busy on-call rota, and the gym is ideally located for those who have to commute around the region. The gym also offered me brilliant support during my pregnancy, empowering me to train safely and confidently until the end of the third trimester. I’ve been more fit since turning 30, than I ever was in my twenties... Cannot recommend Method Training enough!

Fantastic experience: From the friendly members to the first class facilities, Method Training sets a whole new standard to be measured against. You aren't just another membership number at Method. The coaching staff invest in you personally from day 1, helping you move better, and become fitter. All in your normal classes. The members welcome you with open arms and you will make new friends that you share your journey to being healthier with. Especially after classes or if you are able to attend open gym to do your own training. Using the café afterwards is highly recommended to discuss your latest PB or catch up! Great changing facilities, showers, hairdryers on site so you can go about the rest of your day from the gym.

Fantastic experience: I've trained at Method Gym for over 3 years now because I couldn't think of anywhere better to be. From day one the coaching has been the best I've seen. I was taught how to squat properly and they always check your form when lifting weights. The classes are diverse and the other members are friendly and open. During Covid they kept me going with kit loan and workouts to do at home. Now that we can go back the cleaning standards are very very high and the gym has been portioned up into boxes to train in. It has amazed me how they've managed so many movement types in a fixed box space but I've been able to use barbells, ergs, the rig for ring work and pullup bar work. I'd highly recommend Method to anyone considering trying crossfit.

Fantastic experience: Methods a great gym I couldnt recommend it enough the training is varied and can be changed to suit any ability. Totally different to your average gym its never repetitive and always fun helped with great coaches who will improve you technique. The facilities are brilliant and the people there are even better.

There are times when I haven't been able to come as much as I would like for various reasons and they have always checked to make sure you are OK and that is a nice touch.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym, wish I had made the move to Crossfit and Method Training sooner. Staff are knowledgeable, supportive and able to tailor programming to ensure everyone in the class is progressing. Great balance of strength and endurance work and I'm definitely fitter than when I started 6 months ago - the classes and scheduling make it almost impossible not to get fitter. The ethos of the gym is friendly and welcoming and caters across all fitness levels. It is a bit more expensive than some other gyms but that's reflected in the quality of programming, personalised support and time you get from the coaching staff. highly recommended.
