Fantastic experience: I am absolutely indebted to Scott Smith for helping me regain the use of my right arm after I fell and fractured it near the shoulder (proximal humerus). This was a painful and disabling injury. The hospital said full recovery will take 6-12 months, but I'm hugely better after 3 months. Scott is very expert and inspires confidence. I've really benefitted from his advice, clear explanations, progressive exercise regime and soft tissue work.

Fantastic experience: Scott is the best physio I've seen in 25 years of issues. I came in with a shoulder injury from desk work, I literally couldn't work at my desk and had to take time off to rest. Coming to Scott, he only gave me one exercise and one stretch to do. Within days, yes only 2-3 days, I noticed an improvement to the point of no shoulder pain at all! There was a point when the pain had subsided but not completely gone. Most physios would stop there but Scott wanted me to 100% health. His care, dedication and non-patronising way made me feel very comfortable and happy to go there. I now have moved and travel far to reach the clinic but I'd rather not try anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: L5/S1 Disk herniation with Sciatica started October, ignored till Nov, MRI confirmed Jan. I began with Shanza in Jan in a great deal of pain with about 7weeks to a trip I really didn’t wish to cancel. I had a seamless mix of physio and reformer. I felt in safe, professional hands and it was great that both aspects were handled by the same practitioner. I had a clear goal (sitting and driving both were agony) when we started, Shanza gave me a stark reality check of what I could expect and what I would have to do (or in my case stop doing) if I wanted to meet that goal in terms that got through to me. She didn’t mind questions (perils of goggle) and took on board my worries/issues. Appointments are fun, competent, tailored to my limits and no up sell which makes a difficult time far less stressful. When it came time to make of decision on a steroid injection, again Shanza gave me the talk I need to hear. End result is I’m very thankful that not only did I make my goal, I was able to exceed it. I look forwarded to carrying on my recovery plus fixing any other grumbles before they manifest into injury’s.

Fantastic experience: TL:DR Saved my holiday! 100% recommend This is a long overdue review. Previously had my shoulder pain put to rest. In the summer I went a bit mad trimming all the hedges in a day for reason which at the time I was convinced was valid. However the following days found myself in agony unable to move at all. I barely could manage laying and queasy standing. I would call the pain akin to the surprise of sitting on an electric pineapple. It was 5days from the family holiday, I was genuinely convinced I wouldn't make it. I booked a session for everyday with Magic Mika. He took me from crying trying to wipe my bum to someone who could; move about, cope with two taxi rides and a plane. Allowing me to enjoy the family holiday spent mostly floating in the sea with the kids. I'm very thankful they could see me at short notice. I'm think seriously about joining some of the other services offered there to help gain back some of the flexibility/strength I've lost in my 40's

Fantastic experience: Highly Recommended: Excellent treatment and palates. My thanks to Mika and his team @ Kingston Physio Group, for the physio treatment and advice received in relation to my lower back problems, which unfortunately have spanned many a month. His help in assisting me navigate both physio interventions and medical investigations, appropriately; and especially for introducing me to the teams supervised Reformer Palates has been invaluable. Melissa is a superb reformer palates coach. Having helped me build strength and flexibility through both individual and small trio classes, over a number of weeks and months. Easing pain and building confidence through enjoyable exercise. Whilst, Melissa's colleague, Shanza demonstrated that she too is a knowledgeable and competent physio, when taking classes during the time Melissa was on leave. Neither will I forget to mention the professional and friendly reception staff, all of whom ensure that appointments can be booked efficiently and that no one has any reason to forget an appointment. My thanks, once again, to the whole Kingston Physio Group team.

Fantastic experience: I visited this practice with Sciatica, looking for some help. After only a couple of visits I have seen big improvements and more importantly reduce pain from the sciatica. The advice given has helped me continue to improve. I would recommend a visit if you suffer from sciatica.

Fantastic experience: Mika has been my physio for a number of months after I had a bad knee injury, after which I couldn’t run and it kept recurring. He has helped massively with my rehabilitation, with clear advice on how to recover and then strengthen my knee. Since then, I’ve had no recurrence of the injury and I am back running regularly.

Fantastic experience: Shoulder impingement fixed I was treated for a shoulder impingement by Mika which was having a serious impact on my life and had been ongoing for a long time before I visited him. Mika instantly diagnosed the problem, treated and fixed it over a few sessions and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a Physio. Mike is very knowledgeable friendly and great at what he does.

Fantastic experience: I had a bilateral Achilles tendon problem 10 years ago and Mika was great. Thanks to him the problem was solved. Some weeks ago I started having pain on that area again, and he is treating me at the moment . I am fully confident that Mika will help me again. I highly recommend him

Negative experience: I’ve considered posting this review for a couple of months, but I am still so disappointed and angry with the treatment I received by Mika. In summary, I was exploited for additional sessions despite not being qualified to treat the problem. I visited his practice for 12 sessions over 4 months. I had multiple pain areas in my back and shoulder and was seeking relief and support with diagnosis. During this time I received sport massages and Accupuncture, which provided short term relief of a day or two - but I was progressively getting worse. Mika skirted around the questions of what could be wrong and what exercises I could do to help, I was given no clear instructions or diagnosis of what could be wrong. His suggestions were to vague suggestions to strengthen my core, stretching and weighted gym exercises, and to go to his reformer Pilates studio. After no improvement, I desperately sort attention from an osteopath - where I received an immediate diagnosis of a torn rotator cuff and over extension of neck and back muscles. I was put on immediate rest, and told to stop stretching or any weighted exercise for at least 6 weeks. Mika was too arrogant to admit he couldn’t diagnose me, and had no idea what was wrong. Which exacerbated the issue and ultimately led to me receiving a longer treatment plan. My osteopath categorically stated that if I had received the PROPER treatment I would have only required minimal treatment - but I am still recovering from an injury I received in January! For any complex injuries i would recommend avoiding this practice.

Fantastic experience: I fractured two bones in my ankle whilst travelling in February, Mika has been helping me since I got back. He has done great work and I can feel the improvement to my mobility and strength. He's extremely knowledgeable and effective. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I strongly recommend physiotherapist Mr Mika Basak who managed to treat my painful and very stiff shoulder which I could not lift. I regained a full range of movement within a couple of weeks, which feels like a miracle for which I will be forever grateful!

Fantastic experience: Khush was superb. I had an issue with my lower back which resulted in limited mobility/flexibility and a certain amount of pain, so I couldn't run and could barely ride a bike. I started to see improvements after the first session with Khush and, after a few weeks, my body was in a much better place. Provided me with a programme to try to improve my core strength, but will definitely go back to Khush if I have any more issues.

Fantastic experience: I had my second knee replaced, nearly 3 months ago now. For the first one, done between lockdowns, I had no idea on how to find help and support with my post operative physiotherapy as because of covid, it now has to be done directly by the patient, daily or better more times a day, at home, following some brief instructions from a booklet! Needless to say, that I found it rather difficult, painful and unhelpful (how could you be sure that you are doing the right movement or worse damaging even more the situation?). I had to find someone to help me get back on my feet and quickly before the window of time when improvements on your "new joint" are still possible, was closing. I was lucky enough, to find Mika, one of the physiotherapists working for "Kingston Physio Group", conveniently located not far from where I live. He managed to help me with my recovery with weekly sessions of "hands on" soft tissue work and manual therapy to decrease my pain and increase my knee's movement made stiff by surgery. I was very lucky, because I am sure that thanks to his help the outcome of my total knee replacement was classified by the surgeons' team, as one of the most successful ever. I honestly recommend his help for any of your physiotherapy problems.

Fantastic experience: Starting going here recently for upper back pain. I've been to physios in the past whose primary objective was to hand out a sheet of exercises and to watch me undertake them whilst they stood back. Mika is a hands on physio - this is what physio should be. Exercises to undertake in my time, and hands on physio during the appointments. If you're after an effective and genuinely hard working physio practice, you've found it.

Fantastic experience: Since breaking and dislocating my shoulder, I have been having twice weekly and then weekly physio with Louise Mann. I cannot recommend her highly enough. My injury is a very slow and tricky one to treat but it is crucial to get movement back ASAP to avoid loss of mobility. The NHS have had such a back log that I would have missed the crucial window for restoring motion without Louise's help. Experienced, knowledgeable, very skilled and also lovely company. Fantastic experience: I’ve been treated by Mika a number of times now and can honestly say he’s brilliant. At various points I’ve tried different physios closer to where I live but always end up returning to Mika. He knows his stuff inside out and can quickly get me training again and feeling physically fit. In fact I was told last year I’d never run again and to give it up. After 3 months of seeing Mika weekly I’m now back to running over 7k, 3-4 times a week....with zero pain or injuries.

Fantastic experience: I have requested the services of Mika in this physio practice following an injury on my ankle. I had ruptured two ligaments playing Football. I am now fully recovered and the physio sessions were paramount for this. I felt that Mika has always beem very thourough with his techniques but also took the care of explaining his views on the injury, the treatment and further exercises I had to do. I have also enjoyed the fact that Mika was always very responsive via email, what helps me a lot in booking sessions.

Fantastic experience: I had a very painful upper back problem, which was caused by golf. I had previously seen an osteopath, who was unable to sort the problem. I chose to see Mika at Kingston Physiotherapy because he specialises in golf injuries. After 3-4 weeks of treatment, I am back playing golf again, without any pain. I fully recommend Mika to anyone with similar problems.

Fantastic experience: I have been treated by Kingston Physiotherapy 3 times over the last 3 years for 3 different issues. Mika and his team are very technically competent, professional and flexible. The first was a long term groin injury that over a course of 12 weeks worth of treatment was sorted after being injured for almost 6 months whilst deadlifting. The second was an urgent back injury that had be immobile. Mika was able to fix this in one treatment so I could go to my stag do the next day. The third was a neck injury. On my way in I couldn't turn my head, after one treatment and 2-3 days of exercises I could move it normally again. Good work Kingston Physiotherapy!

Fantastic experience: I have known Mika for around ten years. He has treated me for a number of injuries; acute and chronic. He has also helped me to rehabilitate my knee after surgery last year. Professional, friendly, helpful and has a lot of experience. He also offers acupuncture which really helped me. It's good that you can get appointments in the morning, evening or on Saturday mornings too. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others!
