Negative experience: Don't waste your time you can't just call to get an appointment takes days e-mailing back and forth only 1 decent shrink works there and always fully booked the rest are far from nice Bonkers how they are allowed to do an "assessment over the phone" avoid this place is my advice

Fantastic experience: I have been impressed with this clinic! Dr Ashby has been very helpful and always makes herself available to help when needed. Moving to London I was a little concerned about finding a good psychiatrist, and I am very happy I found Dr. Ashby!

Fantastic experience: I was really nervous about enquiring but I phoned and spoke to a lovely lady on the phone. I think her name was Khloe or klary. She was so sympathetic towards my situation and gave me all the information I needed. Really made a change to other places with a strict bored attitude when answering calls…I don’t often feel the need to leave a review but I felt really heard whilst talking to her.. highly recommend already!

Negative experience: Very unhelpful 'computer says no' receptionist, really not great given they are dealing with vulnerable people

Fantastic experience: We felt clearly that our 10 year old adopted daughter needed help. After thorough research we found the London Psychiatry Clinic Website. It was very helpful to read all the information and watch the videos. It is so important to find somebody with whom you can be totally yourself, open and trusting. The first contact with the London Psychiatry Clinic was very encouraging. They have always been friendly and efficient with emails. We consulted Dr Hayley Ponsford, who is very experienced, a fantastic listener and happy to go the extra mile. We now feel confident that our daughter will receive the help she needs.

Negative experience: i have had interactions with state (NHS) psychiatrists for over a decade, so i decided to discuss my case with an expensive private psychiatrist from LPC. during my (admittedly almost attentive) session, the Dr ignored my reasons for requesting a private psychiatrist - i had queries regarding holistic care, including requesting knowledge and advice regarding additional treatments beyond chemical and clinical interventions. the Dr offered no new or creative insights, and provided the same basic clinical information that i receive for free from NHS-appointed psychiatrists. edit: upgraded to 2 stars due to receiving a follow-up email

Fantastic experience: Needed an urgent assessment for my son and Dr Stephen NG and Shonagh were excellent. So responsive and super kind and fantastic care. I got an appointment within 24 hours. Can’t thank them enough. Being a mental health professional myself I can certainly recommend them and the service they offered. The quick response made all the difference to our family in a crisis, meaning my son got effective and timely care. The follow up appointments and swift prescribing made the whole process so much less stressful than it would have been otherwise - thank you Stephen and Shonagh!

Negative experience: I feel sincerely appreciated for the psychiatrist who offered me many support and help in the late time despite that they discharged patient with deteriorating mental health in a doggy and vague way. Their behaviour stir up more conflicts and arguments between me and my primary caregiver as a catalyst. I fully understand that they blocked my mobile phone no. email. Due to refund issue, I contacted my bank many times due to this very distressing event, the refund has not yet arrived in my bank account, I proactively contacted them in many ways regarding this issue from yesterday to today. Before that, I attempted to figure it out by myself with mental breakdown. Due to many issues and their behaviour, caused my more self-destructive behaviours and unhealthy coping strategies, I didn’t make any complaints in public and any social media platforms. The refund period is beyond time constraint, as they blocked me, my friends and some one has to contact them on my behalf. No any update or take any action. (Besides, to be fair, I just received the refund a few seconds ago after I try to contact others to reach them out) until now, what they did is to read msg or ignore msg and block my account, no apology. It is inappropriate for me to show how their behaviour has a devastating impact on me. I don’t blame them fully as I said before the psychiatrist offered many help in the late time and my complex social circumstances were worsening. I don’t think I will seek for any medical professionals suggestions and help due to this last fatal failure, before this time of treatment, the primary caregiver put a lot of efforts energy and extravagant money into psychology and psychiatry field. I’m still experiencing deteriorating mental health and this is the reason why my words are so messy as I’m panicked now. I cannot count how much it cost in making an international call with bank whilst I’m not in UK at the moment. The psychiatrist is quite intelligent and truly knowledgeable and accommodating, however, he will consider many aspects from his perspective to do things which he think it might be really beneficial for patients wellbeing instead of patients real situation and adversely affect patient wellbeing. Besides, if they had plenty of time to block me and attract new patients to put more money, why don’t spend some time to dealing with refund issue? And they notified me to refund me, I feel really appreciated for it, but doesn’t mean in other ways. They are willing to block and avoid further responsibility instead of taking real actions to come up with solutions. Like I cannot solve the problem, however, I can block the discharging former patient who cannot bring money and incurable. And this clinic management team and psychiatrist always avoid further responsibility by applying language barrier and tricks of words, if I could contact their credit control team and they responded me to investigate what was going on, I would not dm their ig. What they did is to pretend not seeing and blocking. I had to contact medical professionals who are irresponsible and irrelevant to the financial issue to chase up them to look it up. It adversely affects patient who has been experiencing mental vulnerability. Do not always show hypocritical social media image of showing sympathy and empathy, they don’t really care about patients wellbeing. How disgusting and ironic it is Update: why I still suffer from ongoing physical violence and emotional abuse after following the suggestion from the psychiatrist, I’m emotional breakdown and in unsafe place, if the such kind of help just teach me how to suffer from more violence and threatens from others and authorities who just take advantage of mental illness stigma, I would wish I never accept such help. I understand that the psychiatrist attempted to help, I feel sincerely grateful. I’m in unsafe condition which I need to cheat on myself I’m safe before I might disappear permanently Diagnosis become a weapon for others to attack against me by labelling me to put me in a dangerous position become evidence

Negative experience: While there are some excellent clinicians there, the admin and management of my case was poor. I started seeing a psychologist they recommended virtually but had some complaints about admin around appointments. They did an internal process that came to the conclusion that I could no longer see that person and I had to see someone face to face for my needs. I had no choice in this. They gave me the option of only one psychologist who didn't seem to have any experience with the problems I had. I asked why they might be useful given their lack of experience in my conditions. This was not answered and I was told there was nothing else they could do for me. Waiting for this internal process took a large amount of time and effectively meant I couldn't speak to anyone at all when I was struggling and desperate for an appointment. They mean well, but I would seriously encourage some reflection on patient experience, especially for patients who struggle to access services due to their needs.

Negative experience: Abysmal and frankly harmful service from psychiatrist DR DINESH KUMAR. I cannot recommend. I booked my suffering friend in for an initial consultation with him, and was treated like nothing but an inconvenience by Dr Dinesh Kumar for the entirety of their interaction. A concerning lack of customer/ patient care and professional standards from the onset, and not at all what I expect from a private sector service.

Negative experience: Disgraceful service from Dr Luke that has had a lasting and detrimental effect on our family.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Ashby for a second opinion. The discussion was extremely comprehensive and although I hoped to have confirmation that my long standing diagnosis was incorrect, I did leave with an answer, if not the answer I wanted. Which does allow me to try to come to terms with my diagnosis and perhaps begin to view the past from a different perspective. I would recommend Dr Ashby's services if you are after a second opinion as I was. I felt like there was no agenda and came away from the appointment with some insights and perspectives that are something to think on. I felt the advice given to me was ethical and more holistic than other doctors I've seen in the past. There wasn't a medication fixes all approach taken as is too often the case in my experience with some doctors in the psychiatric field. I would also like to thank the secretaries of Dr Ashby, I found them to be very professional and courteous.

Fantastic experience: Dr Datta supported our daughter through her depression. We cannot rate highly enough the clinical expertise, care, attention and kindness shown through what was an incredibly difficult time. The service we received from appointment booking, prescriptions, administration to the sessions themselves was excellent. We have our daughter back and well again for which we will be eternally grateful- and also know that Dr Datta will be there to ensure her ongoing health. Thank you.

Negative experience: I engaged with this service for ADHD diagnosis. I had a preliminary NHS diagnosis (clinic had these letters) but NHS treatment would take up to 24 months. Just before booking there was a flippant remark about weekly appointments and I queried this. They were not forthcoming but after a few emails I learned that on top of the initial fee you must attend weekly sessions for 3 months … costing over £8k! I’m on below average wage, am using my life savings that we’re for a house deposit for this and can’t get medical insurance due to physical disability. This is not standard practice, standard practice is between 3 and 6 appointments over 3 months not 12! Very obviously monetising on the problems within the NHS and patients need for treatment. I’m pursuing treatment elsewhere and cannot recommend somewhere that so shamelessly overcharges and is not upfront about their fees

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend London Psychiatry Clinic and Dr Salazar in particular. We were looking for help for a while and it was difficult and hopeless at times… The clinic was the place where we were heard and offered an appointment within 3 weeks, which was incredible! Dr Salazar was very professional and approachable but also generous with the time he spent with us and going through our history. He listened very carefully, asked lots of questions, then planned a complex care, with all its important segments to treat the diagnosed condition. We have only started our healing journey few weeks ago but can already see a massive progress, which is life changing to the whole family!
