Fantastic experience: Good food
Fantastic experience: We do a regular weekly orders for Prep meals for lunches. They're tasty, really quick/handy, healthy, packed with protein (great for gym goers)! and there's a brilliant choice of delicious meals. Because of the choice, they don't get boring. Many "healthy" ready meals are high in salt and/or sugar content, but not Prep. We'll definitely keep ordering weekly - thank you! Five stars from me!
Fantastic experience: I’m new to pREP UK, and have just ordered once from them but the meals were awesome, packaged beautifully and tasted amazing. Safe to say I’m going to be a recurring customer. Running a couple businesses and always on the go, pREP UK is perfect for my lifestyle and will help eat healthy when I don’t have a lot of time.
Positive experience: I have tried several ready made meal services and PrepUK is the only one, as far as I found, that makes meals for those who are looking after their health, their meals are made with wholewheat pasta and brown rice, ingredients that are good for you and keep you full longer. Their Spaghetti Bolognaise, Bangers and Mash, and Cottage Pie are SUPER yummy! And I don't even like sweet potatoes. If you are after weight loss like me, you'd really enjoy the change from the usual grilled chicken meals, I am so happy I can have spaghetti while I am watching my weight!

Fantastic experience: Had some slight issues with delivery due to the house being in a weird spot but (i think the owner?) Dropped them off the same day shortly after. I've had two of the meals already, nice and fresh. Will definitely be getting a monthly package after this taster.

You ordered, and as it was bank holiday we were unable to ship until later due to couriers not working over bank holiday. As you needed the meals sooner, I agreed to drop these off myself even though it wasn’t local and was a 40 mile round trip. I emailed you the arrangements (even though you called me a liar, I was able to send you proof of the email) and I spoke to you. You confirmed this was great and was happy.
As arranged, I dropped these off AS A FAVOUR on Sunday. When I arrived I knocked twice – no answer. I called you (you had no reception). I therefore text and said id left the meals behind the bin in a foil liner with ice. There was no where else I could have left these outside your property.
The following day 24 hours after I had left them you were then not happy as you hadn’t picked the message up. I explained there was literally nothing else I could have done at which point you started shouting down the phone at me.
Im sorry you are not happy. I have considered whether I could have climbed through your window to put them in the fridge for you? Send a pigeon with a message? Wait 24 hours for you to return? However I’m happy and satisfied with everything I did.
For the avoidance of doubt, there was no pube....just someone who feels the need to leave many reviews in a short space of time (Jamie Wake, Jamie Wakefield).
Negative experience: Bad experience with this company , wouldn’t use much better food prep company’s out there , without all the rude stuff , just constantly lie on the phone , lost £165 due to using this place

Fantastic experience: Was in Huddersfield briefly. Heard about the place, so thought I'd give it a go. The meal was filling and I didn't feel blotted or heavy afterwards.

Positive experience: Love this place however some of the meals have been very hit and miss with what they claim is in the meal. One meal can be packed full of veg, on the other hand I had one tonight that was suppose to contain sliced peppers and sliced red onion but none was in the container. Could do with some quality control when packing the meals.

Negative experience: Prices have increased by £50-60 for a months supply. How can former customers now afford price increase along with rising cost of living? From an former customer. UPDATE: In response to the reply to the review, simply put if prices are not affordable to the general public, then what is the point of the Prep service? Other customers should be aware of this, if the price of a month's supply is costing 1/3 or even 1/2 of someone's average salary. How can anyone afford such high prices after paying rent, bills etc. Then having to give the rest for the meal preps? Every few weeks I noted the price would gradually increase, so there needs to be cut off point otherwise these meals will just be for the wealthy, hence the well deserved 1 star review.
UPDATE - we have managed to review our prices and have now brought them down to pre pandemic prices despite all of the increases in society listed below!

All businesses have had to respond to rising costs which have impacted upon prices.
- Delivery costs have increased due to rising fuel prices.
- The cost of meat/fish and general ingredients have increased. (We are all personally feeling this and business is no different)
- Wages have increased alongside the amount of tax we have to pay.
- Energy has increased dramatically and for a food business that uses a substantial amount its really cutting.
- Inflation is going through the roof.
We have made cut backs internally.
I'm sure you are aware of what is going on in the country/in the world and Prep isn't immune to this. There will be an awful lot of businesses that struggle and worse still, close.
Im sure now you can understand why we have needed to bring our prices up in line with other prep companies as the previous model was not sustainable. We also didn't want to compromise of the quality of ingredients. We could use supermarket veg (full of pesticides and GMO) or supermarket meats (pumped full of water and other toxic things) however we don't want to compromise on food quality. WE ARE A HEALTH KITCHEN WHEN ALL SAID AND DONE and feel reducing costs in this way to keep the prices down would go against our mission statement.
Instead of leaving 1 star reviews on any business page, how about voting in silence and just deciding not to purchase if you cant afford. In the bigger picture, these type of reviews can put others off purchasing and this really won't help us to review prices to make them as low as possible.

Fantastic experience: Great healthy food with good service too. Meals are clearly labeled with allergens.
Fantastic experience: These meals are very tasty and good quality. I buy them because the portion size is just right. It helps remind me to eat correctly.
Negative experience: Called in a couple of weeks ago stud at the counter for five minutes while someone was on the phone in the back so I let them know that I was waiting to be told I’m on the phone so waiting a further 5 minutes and walked out. My opinion you serve your customers then talk on the phone.
Hello David, You must have been referring to me being that im the only male to work here. I remember this and Im sorry you felt this way. Sometimes, I am in the shop on my own and occasionally the phone does ring and its a customer needing advice. Unfortunately, I cant give both customers my full attention at the same time. I understand you were frustrated - enough to leave a poor review. I do remember it not being 5 minutes though. Please understand the situation as it wasn't a social phone call. We would never put that in front of our customers. We would have of course apologised for the inconvenience of waiting had you stayed.
Negative experience: Order never arrived due to DPD however it is the companies delivery partner and therefore then their responsibility. Prep UK offered to replace my order, however has stated that DPD can leave your parcel behind a bin or elsewhere if you are not at home and they as a company seem to seem this is ok. As a customer I find this totally unacceptable. As a result I have refused to accept a replacement. If your happy for your food to be left behind a bin, or any place DPD deem necessary without your prior permission then go ahead and order it not stay well away!

We asked you to check around the property in case DPD had left it as part of the investigation. Its food, and wouldn't keep longer than 30 hours if it returned back to the depot. Asking you to check is not unreasonable.
We offered to replace all 56 meals whilst we raise an investigation with DPD as we didn't feel it was fair for you to wait and we gave an apology. We rely on a courier and on odd occasions, things do go wrong. We reacted in a timely manor responding to your e mail straight away and by cooking them the next day to which you told us that you would refuse them.
You aired your disgust at it potentially being left by bins. We reassured you there is no chance of contamination due to the food being in a triple walled box, inside a thick foil liner and inside thick plastic tubs. Still, after offering to resend, we asked DPD to gain a signature from you therefore alleviating your concern about them being left. This would be proof that the parcel had been delivered and would have rectified every complaint that you had. You werent happy and then threatened legal action.
We feel we have done everything in our power to put right, what went wrong and can do no more.
I'm sure the readers will decide whether we have been reasonable in dealing with your issue.
Positive experience: I ordered 7 meals a few weeks ago. A couple of the meals were really tasty such as; smoky fajitas and peppered steak. I found the jerk chicken, rice and peas meal quite salty, unfortunately, I had to throw some of it away. There was no variety in terms of the veg options and I found the portions to be quite small. I've used a few meal prep companies recently and although the meals are less than 500 calories the portions have been more significant. I ordered my meals on Sunday (due to be delivered the following Thursday), however due to the BH weekend, my meals were delivered on Friday. A few issues here, it wasn't advertised on their website that there would be a delay in delivery. If I had known, I wouldn't have placed an order. I only found out about the delay when I called and emailed customer service. I was offered 10% off my next order but to be honest, I won't be ordering again. Yodel is the preferred delivery partner for Meal Prep UK which I think is a terrible choice because my meals arrived after 9pm (their website says they aim to deliver before 9pm) and I noticed the package didn't have the food items label affixed to it. This label usually indicates to the delivery partner that the package needs to be delivered sooner rather than later. There is probably an additional cost for this which Meal Prep UK did not want to fulfil. The meal prep companies I have used previously, have this label attached to it and my meals normally arrive first thing in the morning! So the fact that my meals arrived so late in the day sans the food label really put me off. Definitely some pros and cons here but the overall experience has put me off ordering again!
