Our comment from NutritionTOP.co.uk about Nuffield Health Bristol (Clifton) Fitness & Wellbeing Gym:

Nuffield Health Bristol (Clifton) Fitness & Wellbeing Gym offers a comprehensive range of facilities and services aimed at promoting health and fitness. Located in a convenient city center area, it features modern gym equipment and a swimming pool, which many members appreciate. Some of the highlights include:

  • Friendly and Supportive Staff: Many users commend the team for being helpful and knowledgeable, creating a welcoming environment.
  • Good Variety of Classes: The gym provides a variety of classes that are well-received by attendees, particularly for spinning and body pump.
  • Facilities: The gym contains modern equipment in good condition, and the inclusion of towels and shower gel adds convenience for gym-goers.
  • Cleanliness: Although some reviews indicate a decline in cleanliness, several members have noted that the gym floor is typically well-maintained.

While there are many positive aspects, several key areas need attention:

  • Facility Maintenance: Complaints about the overall state of repair have been noted, with some areas showing signs of wear and tear such as broken lockers and mould.
  • Hygiene Issues: Some users have reported poor hygiene standards in changing rooms, showers, and the pool area, which contradicts expectations for a premium membership.
  • Staff Issues: There have been instances of unhelpful or rude customer service, particularly at the front desk, which has negatively impacted user experiences.
  • Membership Costs: Members feel that the pricing is high relative to the quality and conditions of the facilities, causing some to question the value for money.

Despite the criticisms, many members continue to appreciate the gym for its positive atmosphere and supportive community. Improvements in maintenance and service could enhance the overall experience and satisfaction.

Negative experience: Really poor disabled access made worse by unhelpful staff and incorrect information

robert R 1 month ago

Negative experience: Agree with all the below reviews. Been a member of the gym for a number of years and the standards have definitely declined. Cleanliness is poor with mould on the ceiling, paint missing, dusty equipment and toilets smelling foul. Machines or facilities in the club are maintained poorly, water machine always broken, sauna seat broken, shower pool side is filthy and has no temp control, lift was broken for ages, to name only a few. Consistent increases to DD means the gym is poor value for money and has resulted in me ending my membership.

George Bafaloukas 1 month ago

Negative experience: Unfortunately had to cancel my membership as the club has gotten to a sad state. Raising the membership cost every few months while the facilities are falling apart with frequent failing AC and dirty changing rooms, showers and sauna. Staff are generally good, but for the amount of money asked it’s simply not worth it.

Fantastic experience: Have been a member for many years. The gym is really well equipped and maintained, especially for a city centre location. The quality of classes available is exceptional, especially spin. It’s often busy so obviously popular, but never overcrowded. Staff members are brilliant, always available, knowledgable and happy to help.

Positive experience: The staff are amazing group of people. Thanks for creating such a wonderful environment.

Fantastic experience: This is the best gym in the area. To have the facilities they have at such a central location is incredible. The gym equipment is modern and I’ve never had an issue trying to access anything I need. The pool, sauna, steam area is also perfect. Although I spend more time in the gym, the classes are good and easy to book onto through the app. Finally and most importantly, the staff are all very friendly and attentive. In particular, Finley is so helpful and efficient when dealing with any questions. He has worked there since I joined and is always on hand to help the members. He exemplifies why this is such a great gym! Overall I highly reccomend this gym to anyone living or moving to Bristol!

Negative experience: The good stuff: gym floor is clean, staff are friendly, location is convenient, it does classes. The bad stuff: Apart from the gym floor, everywhere else is filthy. Covered in mould, limescale, grime, and dirt. Apart from the gym floor, the facilities are run down. Broken lockers, scuff marks and dints/holes in walls, pretty much everywhere you look you’ll find something that’s broken. The pool area stinks, it’s a mix of sewage smell in places to just musky sweat in the case of the steam/sauna. For the sake of putting a few drops of menthol oil in the steam/sauna you’d think it’d be an easy cheap fix. The swimsuit dryer is always broke, the poolside water fountain is often broken, the emergency buttons by the steam/sauna have never worked since I’ve been there (about 6 months), there’s been a few times where there’s been no hot water, the armrest in the steam room is broken (there’s currently a wet floor sign draped over it, it looks ridiculous), the wood in the sauna comes loose, and there’s plenty more that’s broken too. The trick seems to be to just put a ‘members information’ sign up whenever anything is broken and it gets fixed whenever (sometimes never in the case of the emergency buttons). Really not good enough in my opinion considering the cost. I actually really like ‘spit & sawdust’ gyms too.. but I don’t like paying top end prices for this Nuffield which is just in shocking condition. Recommendation to management is to give it a lick of paint and a few drops of mentol oil in the steam/sauna at least!

Negative experience: I visited this gym last weekend using a day pass which cost £20 and was truly shocked at the poor standard of cleanliness and maintenance. The gym floor itself was decent hence my 2 star review but every other part of the club was absolutely filthy and in a horrendous state. Every surface was caked in a layer of mould, sludge, spillage or limescale, half the lockers didnt work and had coat hangers but nothing to hang them on. The water in the pool was so cloudy it was hard to see the tiles on the bottom and the sauna had such an overpowering smell of manure / excrement I had to leave immediately on opening the door. Its truly shocking to think that this same organisation runs hospitals! I'll be seeking a refund and will never set foot in this gym chain again. See attached photos for evidence.

Negative experience: I’ve been a member here for close to 10 years, and over that time I’ve seen a sad, steady decline. This used to be the “best” gym in the area - particularly as it has a swimming pool, which is rare given its central location. But, it feels now like they’ve cut it back to the absolute bare bones, and it shows. The drains around the pool smell of sewers, the sauna is past its sell by date, the steam room much the same. Male changing rooms always seem to have very few lockers available yet the gym floor is empty. Showers in the male changing rooms just need closing for one day, and for someone to use that time to remove the black mould, limescale, and whatever else is lurking in there. One urinal and one cubical for a massive changing room. The gym floor is more machine based, rather than free weights - works for me, but maybe not others. Classes are excellent when you can get on them. I never would have said this a few years back, but it feels it’s gone beyond a lick of paint - the cut backs appear to be so severe that the place needs a total build out again. There are too many other gyms in the area of this one, for significantly less each calendar month with significantly better facilities. Nuffield can do better. I use their London gyms on my membership, I have used the Swindon one & the Weston one and they’re evidence that when run properly Nuffield can get it right. This one is an example of what happens when you take your eye completely off the ball.

Fantastic experience: If you are going to have surgery I recommend this hospital. The staff from surgeon to nurses are excellent and the atmosphere wonderful. Thank you all who made my year of operations seamless and pain free.

Positive experience: I was a member for over 2 years, so I think I have a pretty accurate overview of this gym. My score is 2.5 star Pros: - Staff is lovely and generally attentive and kind. They will listen to your concerns and usually respond to them - Location is perfect for those living around Cotham and Clifton - Some classes and teachers are really great and professional (body pump, yoga) - towels are included in the price Cons: - hygiene is poor, there aren’t enough cleaners and sometimes place smells like sewage and decaying sweat. Male changing room is constantly too hot and unpleasant, showers are covered in mildew and they stink like rotten eggs - AC is permanently broken or switched off, equipment is tired and some is in really poor condition, in need for servicing (annoying squeaky treadmill!) - sauna is like from a horror movie - stinky and often simply filthy - especially tiles. There wood is covered in suspicious black residue and it’s never cleaned! - During academic year, UoB students make this gym a social hang out place, they are loud, annoying and obnoxious, they don’t respect the rules and its is really impossible to relax. - Lockers are extremely annoying, often broken and some members treat them like private lockers. Lastly . Why is Nuffield sponsoring major sport events, plastering their logos all over the BBC, if they don’t have funds to pay for decent cleaning service and keep their gyms up the basic hygiene standards?

Negative experience: What's with the stinky dirty mats!? I've been a member 10+ years ago and rejoined again this year. I used to think it was a great gym back then, but now I feel it's gone downhill. The classes are always booked up, there aren't enough classes on the weekends, there aren't any yoga/pilates/balance classes on Friday evening (there's something equivalent every other weekday). Some classes are only available during office hours and at no other times. I'd love an aqua class or dance fitness on the weekend, but it's not available. There are bad odours (stuffy/musty) in many parts of the building, especially the stairs up to the ladies changing room and the changing room itself and shower are smells of sewers. There are leak stains on ceilings in various places. The AC in studio 2 has been broken since I joined and no one is doing anything about it. I went to one yoga class last week in the heatwave and it was unbearable, and mats slippy from all the sweat. Fix the darned AC! The worst thing of all is the filthy stinky yoga mats in both studios. They are never cleaned! They say the clients should clean them after use and they do, but it's immediately clear that it's impossible to clean the mat with those useless wet tissues. They do absolutely nothing whatsoever. The mats need to be deep cleaned every day! You can smell their stench even if you cover them with a yoga towel, they are a disease spreading Petri dish! This is utterly unacceptable for a gum that charges £102 pcm membership fee.

Negative experience: The sauna smells like a sewer, there are way too many attendees and the gym has insufficient equipment which means you are pretty much queuing for machines, for some reason 5 members of staff are by the desk to greet people with forced smiles and searing eye contact which is a bit much for 6:15am (I would rather the gym was cleaner, they have the staff to facilitate it), every other week they switch the male/female toilettes around to inconvenience your morning routine, old people treat it like a social club, lingering after classes and blocking all the walkways…. This gym is an ode to disappointment, the price is misleading. I’ve counted around 150+ attendees all paying 90/pm so they are making over 13k a month, and that’s not including paid classes, PT sessions, leasing out the space to other companies to conduct PT training in… Which feels a bit greedy given the state of the gym. When the sauna doesn’t smell like a sewer it is nice, hence the 2 stars.

Positive experience: The gym is okay but having to pay £14 more a month for a tier 1 gym when I had a tier 2 membership, and when you take into consideration my tier 2 had better facilities, resources AND better lighting (very important) it’s expensive for what it is. And my gym was £14 cheaper but the same company. I find it too crowded and stuffy and not enough room to properly be comfortable, there’s always someone waiting for what you’re using. The lighting makes all the difference to a gym

Negative experience: I don’t normally leave reviews, while I really enjoyed this gym for a month. The gym had everything I needed, and I loved the sauna and steam room. As well as the fact they provided towels meaning I could go before work and go straight to work without having to pop home to drop off my towel. The temperature of the pool was always nice too. The location was only 5 minutes from my home making it the perfect gym distance for me. However, a member of staff at front desk was incredibly rude to me as I went to grab some towels. She yelled at me in front of customer’s and it felt like was implying that I was going to steal the towels. I have also always taken the same amount of towels and returned them. As a woman of colour it was incredibly embarrassing to have a member of staff yell at me in the main entrance of the building with many other people around. It left me in tears, which is pretty embarrassing! I am sure this member of staff did not intend to upset me, however she needs to think about her how her actions affect people. Next time I would recommend her to quietly pull the customer aside and explain it to them a calm manner. I work in customer service myself and I know how tiring it can be but it’s important to remember you dealing with people and their feelings. I did speak to some girls in the changing rooms who said that they and their friends had also experienced rude staff. I did speak to manger as I wanted to say what I have said here to them in person and to just make sure that staff don’t yell at customers. The manger however was lovely, and so kind to me when I told about the situation. He was kind enough to listen to me and even brought me some tissues. He offered me a cup of tea/coffee which I declined but I very much appreciated. I really appreciated that he heard me out. The gym itself is good and I only had this one bad experience but I don’t feel comfortable going back now, the whole situation was very embarrassing.

Fantastic experience: Tried to join other gyms but keep coming back to Nuffield over the past 9 years. It is the best gym with swing pool and sauna as well as friendly PTs out there. DL was always full of kids and overfilled. Nuffield doesn’t have that issue.

Negative experience: I don’t normally leave bad reviews but I felt I had to leave this one. I wanted to see what the gym was like before committing to a membership (especially as it’s not cheap) but was told they only did free day passes every so often, and not at the moment. My only option was to get a one day guest pass for £20 or pay the full membership. Both options felt incredibly expensive for a couple of hours at the gym, especially when you can get day passes at other local gyms for less than half that price! To make matters worse, the lady at reception was very abrupt and not very friendly. Not a very warm welcome for a potential paying customer… no wonder the reviews say the gym looks a bit tired, they probably scare the new customers away!

Negative experience: I have been a member of Nuffield now for nearly 10 years, and the Gym has steadily deteriorated. It's clearly underfunded as Nuffield group is in decline as a business. The staff have gotten progressively worse as have the facilities. The hygiene of the locker rooms, pool and spa area are abysmal and often stink. I would take your money somewhere else... I hear David Lloyd is nice lol

Negative experience: I dont usually leave google reviews but given the price of this gym i dont feel bad. The staff are rude and never greet you walking in and act annoyed anytime you have a question. The sauna has been broken for a week and each person I talk to about it has a different story as to when it will be fixed and whats wrong with it. Based on other reviews I doubt it's even broken, they're probably just trying to cut costs at the expense of their guests. The gym is overly crowded and the locker rooms smell like sewage. Only pro is the location. Take your money elsewhere.

Negative experience: The location, staff, equipment (Technogym) are good. However, it lacks space during peak hours. Overdue for a facelift by about a decade - paint/wood peeling/dripping ceiling/stuff that goes beyond usual wear and tear. The £100 monthly fee is poor value; for instance, there are only 5 Pilates classes offered weekly, which quickly fill up, leaving a waiting list of 10+ if you attempt to book on the same day. Objectively, it is the worst Nuffield Health I've visited, compared to Surbiton, Manchester, and the Barbican and there's significant room for improvement. It's convenient given limited gym options in Clifton, but if I were considering gyms, I'd explore elsewhere for a similar price before committing to a contract here.

Negative experience: Never in my life have I met such rude staff. I signed up to the 7 day free trial here and l have been met with nothing but hostility. On the first day I signed up, I came just for a swim, and unfortunately left my guest pass in my locker. I came the next day and approached the same woman on the desk who had given me my pass. I told her I had unfortunately lost my pass and thought I would be to still enter (as they now have my name on their system.) I was not only denied entry (despite my friends being let in) but I was also spoken to in a very belittling way. After asking, I was begrudgingly, and very rudely, told I could sit on the sofa to wait for my friends although I could not enter the facilities. This was despite the woman clearly recognising me from the day before. If you care about customer service and being treated with even the smallest bit of respect, l would avoid going here at all costs.

Positive experience: Clean facilities and weights are correctly racked most of the time. Showers are clean and plesant to use. 3 power racks with deadlift platforms, unlikely that all 3 are taken and you can powerlift without waiting most sessions. There is only a seated leg curl machine, no lying leg curl. The current adductor and abductor machines are too easy to max little room for improvement for advanced lifters. 1 day passes are £25, if you have a friend visiting and you want to train together for a week, it would be better for both of you to go to another gym. After the new year with short lived new year resolutions the gym is extremely busy in January. It does get better later in the year. Although I have some points of critique, I still give it a 4 stars due to it's cleanliness and great staff - I haven't been to a cleaner or as well maintained gym like this one.

Positive experience: I've gone for 3 months and I feel I've gone long enough to leave a review. The gym itself is quite small, there is no smith machine or calf press, which I find to be quite essential for my workouts so I wouldn't call the gym "fully equipped". The gym gets very busy from 4-7 and personally I wouldn't bother going at that time. they've got 3 squat racks which is good. the free towels are really good but occasionally they have shortages, I'd say once a month in my experience they run out. the classes are good. I've only been to a few but I think they definitely help to motivate you. they have a lot on offer throughout the day. the pool temperature varies and its seemingly random whether it will be a bit cold or a bit hot, but its always fine to swim in. I don't think the pool is full length. in terms of value for money, personally for me it's worth it, I use the NHS discount which saves 30% and I go to the gym frequently enough to justify the roughly £60 per month I pay. If you swim after every session, use the sauna + steam room, and have long hot showers I reckon you probably cost them more than £60 a month. That being said I know that not everyone can get the discount, and I don't know if I'd recommend for £90 a month or whatever it is. The decor and vibe of the place does seem a bit outdated. It doesn't have a premium gym feeling in my opinion.

Positive experience: I have been a member here on and off since 2012. When I first joined, it felt high-end and luxurious, but there have been no significant renovations since. The men’s’ locker room has multiple broken lockers and the solitary urinal has been out of order for weeks. The steam room and sauna have been shut multiple times over the last few months (for days at a time) and even when they are open they have broken lights. The poolside shower until recently was hanging off the wall and is still covered in limescale. The decor throughout the club is dated and worn out and not acceptable for a charge of ~£80 a month. Until this gym has a complete refurb, I can’t recommend it over a low cost gym. If you are a swimmer you’re better off with a municipal pool.

Negative experience: It's not worth the money. I have been a member of this gym for around 18 months and it seems to be getting worse overtime, despite the costs being raised significantly. The gym is pretty much unbearable to workout in as the air conditioning has been broken for months over spring and summer. If you ask the staff, they just say they are 'waiting for parts' or 'they are waiting for council permission' which is ridiculous considering how long its been broken for. Sometimes when using the gym, the temperature is noticeably warmer than the reception temperature which is extremely frustrating. The gym, pool and changing rooms are not well-maintained, with them being dusty, dirty and more specifically with the changing rooms, mouldy. When using the pool area, some members of staff (and most notably a blonde lady) walked through the pool with outdoor shoes with no shoe coverings, despite it strictly saying for members to adhere to this rule. In addition to this, on a few occasions the pool has smelt of sewage on one side. My partner was once relaxing in the sauna later in the evening and had the sauna shut off whilst he was still in there, even with it being 15-20 minutes before closing. The lockers are extremely fiddly and temperamental which sometimes results in having to ask a member of staff to unlock the locker manually. At one point, they were turning multiple cardio machines off with a sign saying they weren't in use to help the environment (?!) when in reality it is to save on costs. They have since stopped doing this, as I'm sure they received many complaints. The weights area of the gym is constructed poorly, with low-spec equipment from Technogym and rarely used equipment taking up space such as incline bench press, rather than something useful and popular like a Smith machine or hip-thrust machine. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, just my personal opinion. Most of the staff are friendly, however as a customer paying premium prices, I do not appreciate the lack of transparency when you ask about issues. Normally, I would think the price I pay, with all the facilities available is worth it, however due to the lack of the care for the cleanliness, usability and comfort of customers, it is not worth paying the premium price for. The two star is for the convenient location in Clifton and the smiley staff who always greet you at the door. All-in-all, I wouldn't recommend this gym.

Negative experience: Unfortunately one of the worst gyms I've ever used. Very overpriced for an extremely limited weight section. The pool is small and not maintained well. The weight lifting area is not equipped for heavy lifting which is extremely annoying. I was told not to deadlift moderate weights as we were on the 2nd floor and the floor couldn't handle it. Limited lockers. 2 stars for location only.

Negative experience: A small gym. Most of the services in it do not benefit from. They want you to register for three months and commit to a contract with them. When canceling, they make it difficult. I do not recommend it. Also, its price is very high for the size of the gym.

Negative experience: It’s been pretty quiet over summer, mostly because the air conditioning has been broken in every room for at least a couple months, making this place absolutely unbearable to workout in. No reductions in membership either despite the fact it’s so insufferable trying to get any workout in in this heat. It’s taking so long to fix because they need planning permission from the council to get it done - ridiculous considering membership is £100 a month

Positive experience: Gym is good, well looked after. Studios are great, spin room is always available and staff is super knowledgeable. The changing rooms and spa area require some renovations and modernizations. But all in all, you get your money’s worth. The only downside is no option to bring a guest (say X times per months/year), which would’ve been great.

Negative experience: I would happily give this place no stars if it let me. Place is poorly built, badly positioned and staff look lost when you walk in. No comparison to the Nuffield health I go to when I’m back at home. Absolutely dreadful experience. Girl on the desk looked like she didn’t know what she was doing. The place was empty which to be honest was no surprise given the lack of customer care and professional ability. Avoid this place if you’re thinking of joining. It’s a really poor excuse for Nuffield and gives it a bad name. Zero stars and please get some staff that are competent

Negative experience: Gym standards have slipped recently. Way too many new users which has resulted in peak times being a complete no go unless you want to wait 20 mins for a bench, staff are clearly aware of this so they've posted pictures of when the gym is less busy upon entry. If I can't go at lunch I'm having to wait until post 7:30. The price however has continued to climb to the point where it's not reflective of the service, the equipment is standard and the pool area not much improved since what looks like the 90s. Getting a locker is a roll of the dice and most are on their last legs. Compared to other Nuffields this is grossly overpriced. The staff are friendly and helpful and the classes ok when you can get a spot. I'd recommend trying a David Lloyd or bannatynes down In Redland, zero point in getting a peak membership here.

Negative experience: I've been a member for roughly three months now. The gym itself is not as good as it looks in the pictures. The gym's main workout room is usually cold in winter, since the heating does not work well and its insulation is far from ideal. The gym equipment is ok but far from being top quality. The classes are usually bad: things are not done properly and instructors do not really care if students are doing the exercises in the right way (with very few exceptions). Moreover, booking classes, especially the few classes that are worth it, is difficult: you usually need to get on a waiting list. Bathrooms, especially showers, are not well maintained. Watch out for the monthly membership: they require more than one month notice to cancel classes, but they won't tell you that when you subscribe: you will only be told that you should cancel in advance. I've only learned that when I decided to cancel: I gave notice on February 4th and they told me that I would have to pay for March as well. Also, they make it sound like freezing a monthly membership is easy, but it is not: they only allow you to freeze in very specific conditions, which are specified in a Terms and Conditions document that they do not present to you when signing the contract. Overall, I would not recommend it, especially given the price. There are much better deals in Bristol.

Positive experience: The pool, classes and location are the best things about this place. If you won't get value from these, I'd go elsewhere, particularly given the nearly £100/month this place charges. The building itself is a bit cramped for space, especially when busy. The changing facilities are can feel old and dirty, think broken lockers, smell of mould in the showers, etc.

Positive experience: Staff very helpful and friendly. Free towels to use. Spacious and clean changing rooms. Pool is a bit small and crowded at some times but sauna and steam room are lovely. For the price, could do with a hot tub.

Tyler Peck 2 years ago

Negative experience: For some reason my previous review was deleted. Unfortunately the gym has gone downhill, it’s over subscribed and too busy even off peak times. There isn’t enough squat racks and too much cardio equipment. There’s only one bench press and they for some reason have a reverse incline bench. No smith machine and the equipment is unfortunately technogym. The gym is penny pinching too, the heating or air conditioning is rarely used and it’s common for the gym to be too hot or cold. The cardio machines will be turned off with signs on them saying they are off to save energy. The sauna temperature is 85 degrees when it was 93-95 before and you can feel the difference. The same for the hot water temperature. It’s not a premium gym anymore and unfortunately too busy and trying to save money and the experience has suffered. Unfortunately there aren’t really any alternatives nearby unless you go to David Lloyd.

Positive experience: This is a nice gym for the price. It has most of the facilities to get you healthy. May be missing a few if you're into body building. I feel the swimming pool and sauna area could do with a little update to make it feel more premium. A drinking tap in that area would also be good. It's focused around families and you can bring your little ones to the gym for around £17 a month. Swimming is included in the membership for kids. They have a crèche area for kids re-opening in December so you can do classes and let your kids play in a safe space while you train. All in all a good gym. Just needs a little refit on parts to put it in line with the premium brand.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym! It has good quality Technogym and Origin equipment and, although fairly small, the gym is never too busy to use what you want, even at peak times. The staff are very friendly and approachable. I have been to a number of classes, and the standard of instructor is high (especially given that the head of Les Mills UK teaches there!) Very happy with the swimming pool and sauna as well. The place generally has a nice atmosphere and makes me feel at home. Definitely worth the money if you make use of all that this gym has to offer!

Richard Crosby 6 years ago

Positive experience: The only reason i wouldn’t rate it 5 stars is the price... but the place is fantastic. The gym itself has just recently been redone - including some pretty fancy new toys tech wise. Smart treadmills with large displays and a range of other cool kit. The gym itself is spacious but the views out are a little lacking. Locker rooms are great with digital locks built in. Free towels are also provided. Also includes shower facilities. The physiotherapy here is great too - with experienced staff and it’s easy to get a quick appointment. High recommend Andy as a physio. The cost of the gym is high... but you get what you pay for. Unlike most gyms - it has helpful staff on hand and is generally a classier venue than your average 24 hour city gym. Swimming pool of course justifies the cost if you make use of it. There are also sauna facilities. Overall - top gym if it falls in your price range.

adrian allen 6 years ago

Positive experience: The gym equipment is great, the sauna is decent, but found the staff that were there on the day not very helpful and somewhat rude, the tour consisted of that's the gym and the changing room is over there. Hygiene in the pool was poor and nobody appeared to shower between the sauna/steam room and pool. For the money and being one of the ost expensive gyms in Bristol I would expect a lot more.

Negative experience: Customer service not that great I am currently a member of nuffield in yeovil but didn't get told that if you go to another nuffield you have to pay as apparently they have split certain gyms into tiers and not just you can go to any gym you want seeing as your paying a lot membership which is appalling to be honest. Came in with 3 of my friends who in fairness forgot to book a free taster session as we didn't think we had to as we all have been to a gym and wanted to see if this was any good. Got told we couldn't get in because of this which is fair but I feel the lady with blonde hair and glasses wasn't very friendly or helpfull she didn't seem to go out of her way at all and was very blunt Considering I'm already paying alot for a gym and the Bristol one is even more you would think the staff are a little bit more friendly or even human. Best bet is if you don't need a swmmingpool go to a 24/7 gym or one that closes on the dot at 10 don't come here as it's just a name nothing else.

Negative experience: This place is very unprofessional. I would like my money back and cancel my membership starting today. This place closes at at 10 pm, but they finish letting in people at 915 pm. Then they close the machines at 945 and let you take a shower dry hair and everything for less than 10 mins?? Are you serious??? I was out at 1002 pm so 2 minute late and this man has a decency to tell me this happened 1 times before therefore they will cancel my membership- what kind of an awful costumer service is this. I have used gyms ALL OVER USA and Europe I have never ever encountered anything so insensitive and so careless- if u can’t wait 5 minutes after close time than shut machines at 930 and don’t advertise you are shutting down at 10 as this is so widely misleading- as I rushed through the door to get out I twisted my ankle- really disappointed I want my membership cancelled immediately
