Unified Strength Gym

Fantastic experience: I only joined Unified in April this year, was immediately made to feel very welcome, in 4 months of working with Char I have made huge improvements in my SBD which has made a big difference to my totals, it’s a great facility to train at with more combo racks and calibrated plates then I’ve ever seen not to mention all the other equipment there, Char got me competition ready and also was there to support me on the day, I’ve had nutritional help from Layla and also had treatment from Charlotte the chiropractor to resolve a very painful issue I’d had for over a year in my shoulders ……… I’m not sure you could find this level of service all under 1 roof anywhere else

Fantastic experience: Unified is everything & more! Everyone is so friendly and they have all the equipment you need. Such a nice community to be involved in & the staff are more than happy to help. Vibe is lovely every time, fridge stocked with monster!!!!! The occasional dog visits are a bonus also:)

Fantastic experience: Unified Strength is hands down one of the best gyms around. It’s super well-equipped with everything you need, the environment is wicked, and the team is as genuine as they come. You can tell they’re always pushing to improve and level up the place. Big shoutout to the Monster Energy gurus—these guys bring serious energy and vibes. If you’re serious about training, this is the place to be.

Fantastic experience: Unified gym is the best gym ever!!! All the staff are so welcoming and friendly. There is always someone there for support. There is equipment to suit everyone’s needs with lots of variety to keep your training interesting. Training here is so fun and the atmosphere is amazing. Also there is lots of gym dogs!

The experienced and inviting nature training here really makes it a nice opportunity to push yourself and grow in whatever training discipline interests you, as a humble day pass warrior highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Best powerlifting gym in the area. There's plenty of power racks, calibrated plates, and loads of weight lifting machines too. The biggest bonus is that the community here is very much like a family. From complete beginners in the sport to world champions, no one ever makes you feel like you're lesser than. Special mention to Charlotte for making the place feel like a second home, the place wouldn't be what it is without her!

Fantastic experience: Great gym with a comprehensive range of weight lifting machines, dumbells, barbells, benches etc. If they had more cardio equipment I'd probably join, rather than using PAYG on a sporadic basis (no treadmills and only one bike). Staff and members seem friendly, good selection of drinks (water, shakes etc) and bars to eat. To coin a phrase "I'll be back" :-)

Fantastic experience: Great gym with specialist powerlifting equipment I have not seen elsewhere. Really good atmosphere, was met by the owner Char and given a tour,Char made me feel really welcome and couldn't have been more helpful, will definitely be coming back to this gym on a regular basis.

Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic weightlifting and strength training gym. The staff and members are all very welcoming and friendly. The equipment is well maintained and very diverse and offers lots of different options when it comes to your workouts.

Fantastic experience: I started training 6 months ago and I don’t plan on stopping thanks to this heavily quipped, diverse and respectful gym! Highly recommend! One of the best atmospheres from the most friendly staff and members, full of knowledge and encouragement! As a beginner I’ve never felt more comfortable and confident.

Fantastic experience: I've been a full time member of the gym for almost a year. Absolutely great atmosphere and staff members. So good that I now have bodybuilding /nutrition coaching and started working there part time! It's a no nonsense gym, they don't tolerate any type of bullying, shaming AND as a woman I felt very comfortable and safe when I first joined, which can be a big problem in commercial gyms. Really good kit as well so if you're serious about strongman, powerlifting and bodybuilding I would definitely recommend this gym. Even if you are new, do not feel afraid, everyone is more than happy to help you and answer any questions you have, we're like a big family!

Fantastic experience: Really welcoming gym that is well worth a visit! Free parking! Great long opening hours! It has callibrated plates, racks and deadlift platforms, with a huge range of bars! Well suited to a Powerlifter! There's kit upstairs for cardio, and loads of different bodybuilding machines. I love the seated leg extension and hamstring curl machines! There's also a belt squat! The team who work there are lovely and approachable for advice or for a spot! I love dropping in to unified for a session!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely incredible gym. Outstanding equipment, ranging from Texas deadlift bars, to Rogue calibrated plates and comp benches. Joined at the beginning of the summer and was worried about not fitting in as I'm not super strong, but the staff are nothing but welcoming and there is always a positive environment to train in. Can't wait to train here again!

Fantastic experience: I've been a member here since 2020 and honestly, I've never felt so comfortable in a gym before! I've ventured to other gyms a couple times for convenience or different kit etc, but it didn't last long! You just don't get the community feeling anywhere else like you do here

Fantastic experience: I decided to start strength training and have been using Unified Strength Gym since June.2022. Despite my age (65) and the fact that I’ve not trained for years the staff are welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. The are all encouraging and help in any way they can. Always a friendly atmosphere which comes from staff and other members. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: From the minute I first stepped into Unified as a complete stranger 2 years ago, I felt at home. This gym has not only the absolute best equipment for powerlifters, strongmen and just anyone who loves to lift, the people and the sense of community here is second to none!! Friendly, knowledgeable and supportive staff and the most inclusive atmosphere. Once you start training at unified you will never want to go back to busy obnoxious commercial gyms!!

Fantastic experience: I don’t want to make this about myself as this is about the gym I’ve been at unified strength for 5months now, and can honestly say I have never experienced a gym like this before, the staff are amazing with so much knowledge and understanding about all aspects of training, they always have time to talk to everyone that comes into the gym the equipment they have is absolutely insane! It’s not your standard gym, it’s unreal! They cater for everyone!! These last 5months I have grown so much in so many ways because of this gym the staff and the friendly people that go to train, it’s an absolute gem of place

Fantastic experience: No doubt about it, the best gym I have ever been to, and ever will go to. Easily the best gym that I have ever been to. There is not a single piece of equipment I wished the gym had, as they have it all. Everything from comp benches, plates, bars and every machine you can think of. Unified Strength is more of a showroom than a gym with the amount of equipment they have! The staff are always super friendly, knowledge and happy to help. Very clean and tidy with a great atmosphere from all members. And being able to play your own music is a huge plus. I honestly cannot fault this gym, this is as good as gyms get!

Fantastic experience: One of the best gyms in Essex. Friendly staff and its like a little family you get welcome into. From your normal workouts to specialised equipment for strongman to a staff full of knowledge. I live half an hour away with a lot of gyms closer but this gym is worth the travel. O and you get to put what ever music you want on from the ipad, doesnt sound like a big deal but its all the small things they do that add up.

Fantastic experience: a extremely welcoming and well equipped gym, perfect for all strength sports. going to be bias here and say its perfect for powerlifting ( its the best sport to me ) 3 comp spec bench's , 4 deadlift platforms , 2 comp spec racks , that's on top of comp bars galore and more approved plates you can shake a stick at.... and that's just the downstairs. upstairs plenty of accessories equipment's , machines , bench's and loads of strongman equipment too. now the atmosphere and environment in the gym is fantastic everyone is all about supporting each other. Char and Layla are brilliant and have a wealth of knowledge to share, got the music blasting out whatever tunes you want and overall an extremely welcoming gym. I can 100% recommend this gym as a place to go as a beginner to a seasoned vet in terms of strength sports. always happy to travel the distance needed to test maxes on comp spec equipment. if you can go down please do , you wont regret it. Fantastic experience: I came to this gym just after Lockdown 1.0, immediately I was struck by the feel of the place. I felt welcomed by the owner straight away. So much knowledge, skill and talent under this roof, I've improved my lifts massively in such a short time and this is down to both the facilities and the staff who are always around to have a chat and help you out here and there. They are also available for booking too. There is so much variation in the equipment so you're never stuck for something heavy to move.

Fantastic experience: Excellent powerlifting gym with super high quality bars and plates along with strongman kit, full rack of DBs and competition racks and stands, would 100% recommend if you like lifting heavy things and especially if you're a competitor or you want to become one.
