He quickly understood and assessed my situation, absorbing information efficiently and asking the right questions without ever making the process feel rushed. Max has a deep understanding of how the body works. He was able to pinpoint what was going on, explain why certain things were happening, and provide targeted, effective solutions. His explanations were always clear, making it easy to understand both the issue and the path forward. I felt well taken care of and confident in the plan he set out for my recovery. Fantastic experience: Having worked with Fiona Robertson for several months now, I can't recommend her highly enough. She is extremely knowledgeable, engaged, calm and effective. I have had a long-standing achilles issues which has caused multiple consequential injuries and led to frequent lay-offs. But Fiona was quickly able to diagnose and develop a well structured program that has fully rehabilitated the injury and I am now running pain free. I can't think Fiona enough and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a talented physiotherapist.

Fantastic experience: I started to run again in preparation for a return to field hockey. After some issues with my knee, I managed to get an appointment with Matt on a Saturday, which they don't normally work. Within a few minutes, Matt knew what the issue was and how to address it. Matt gave me specific, tailored advice in relation to my knee which has indirectly helped with my training in the gym. I had been working on machines using both legs but Matt advised that I needed to isolate both legs and add a bit of instability. I have definitely noticed a difference in my knee since I started to see Matt, so much so that in a recent run analysis the running expert said that "whatever it was the physio told you to, keep doing it". Thanks for all your support, Matt. It was lovely meeting you and hope you enjoy your time in Scotland.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Anthony by a friend. While initially anxious over the injury as it was debilitating, it was incredibly reassuring to receive treatment from someone so clearly knowledgeable, capable and affable. Anthony's diagnosis, explanation and treatment plan lead to a full recovery. I'm now back surfing and biking, equipped with exercises to help prevent future issues. Legend.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment with Elaine Miller. What a fantastic woman! Just amazing, caring and kind, so friendly and full of great knowledge, willing to share so many scientific facts as an expert in her field. I feel like she really enjoys her job and truly wants to help people get better and be healthier. During my visit she explained everything in great detail and made me feel relaxed the whole time, which was certainly very much appreciated. I have never had such a wonderful experience with any doctor or any kind of expert ever in my life! I left the appointment feeling hopeful about my condition for the first time ever, and she has certainly done more for me (not only in the physical regard but emotionally and psychologically as well) in one appointment than all the other professionals I had visited in the past. I wish I had gone to Leith months ago as I have been reassured the exercises I have now been given should help repair the ligaments in time. I have been impressed by the help.

He went above and beyond to support my recovery and without him, I wouldn’t have been able to run the Berlin marathon as strongly as I did! Fantastic experience: I rate my experience with Anthony Guiducci as ten out of ten. He is an excellent physiotherapist and I recommend him very highly. At the time of my first appointment with Anthony, I was 16 months into recovery from a meniscectomy following a severe meniscal tear. This had left me with arthrofibrosis in my right knee, restricting the degree of flexion in my knee to 40˚ and impacting my movement to a very great extent. My quality of life was poor. I had another op to manipulate the knee under general anaesthetic and after several months of physiotherapy with the NHS, I was able to achieve 120˚ of flexion. My movement was still slow and painful, however, and further improvement seemed unlikely. At this point I heard about shockwave therapy and decided to give it a go. I contacted The Physiotherapy Clinics and was assigned to Anthony. This really was a game-changer. But although the shockwave therapy kick-started the real improvement, it was Anthony’s expertise, knowledge and ability to communicate this so well that brought about the massive change I quickly began to feel. Anthony directed my focus away from the knee specifically, giving me exercises to strengthen my hamstrings, quads and calf muscles. This, together with deep massage, really helped loosen up these muscles that had been so tight and inactive for so long. After quite a short time, the pain and stiffness in the knee that I'd previously felt after sitting, or when having the leg relatively immobile for a while, virtually disappeared. Over the following sessions, Anthony skilfully tweaked my exercises or introduced new ones, in accordance with my improving strength. The degree of improvement I have experienced during my time seeing Anthony is amazing; I now have my active life back and there is very little I cannot do that I could not do prior to my injury. For this I thank Anthony unequivocally.

Fantastic experience: Got referred to Anthony for some lower back pain earlier in the year. Through working with Anthony, the pain was gone within a few short weeks and he straight away moved to address the underlying issue, inflexibility in my hips and hamstrings. Over the weeks I quickly saw progress and feel so much better when playing sport and picking up my son! Anthony is a consummate professional and all around top bloke. Couldn't recommend these guys enough!

Fantastic experience: Was having some knee pain, so much that I was starting to have issues walking down stairs normally so booked in to see Anthony at the Leith clinic. Discussed the issues I was having and devised the best exercises to alleviate the problem with some variations along the way which has made a huge difference. Discussions are in-depth and relaxed, and as well as the hand written notes they have an app that you can log onto with video demonstrations of the exercises you need to do. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I wish I could rate this review 6 stars! I experienced severe pain in my calf and was very quickly booked in with Siobhan - the help and advice got me straight to hospital when I was totally in the dark, but more importantly the aftercare and check-ins afterwards to make sure I'm ok have been even more valuable. It's fantastic to know the team are there as a huge source of help, and don't hesitate to drop in even if you're not sure what you need as they will go above and beyond!

Fantastic experience: I recently had a few appointments with Fiona at The Physiotherapy Clinics Leith due to some muscular pain in my side and leg. Fiona listened attentively and helped create a plan to ease my pain and strengthen muscle in that area. I highly recommend her and the Clinic!

Fantastic experience: I visited The Physiotherapy Clinics office in Leith to be treated for extreme hip pain that had gotten significantly worse after I arrived in Edinburgh for my daughter’s wedding. On the day I had my appointment at the clinic, I could barely walk. Charles McIntosh assessed my pain, treated me with acupuncture, and gave me some daily exercises to do. My pain was better the next day, and after 5 days, I was completely pain free. I met with Charles again the next week, received another treatment and some additional exercises to do, and I can report that I am still pain free 4 days after the second treatment. Charles is thorough and knowledgeable, and I know that the plan he put together will enable me to walk my daughter down the aisle without limping. I am really grateful for the treatment I received at this clinic.

Fantastic experience: Had 2 sessions with Aidan with a last minute shin splint issue before a big race. Aidan was very focused, helpful and provided exactly the professional assurance I needed. He is very knowledgable in his field and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to any fellow runners.

He asked me a lot of very pertinent questions, did some manipulation and it all led to some sound advice on how to alleviate the issue. I've followed his advice to the letter and have found relief. Fantastic experience: Constant pain is one of the worst things for us to deal with. With this in mind I consulted with Anthony several weeks ago. Anthony assessed my problem and offered hands on treatment as well as exercise therapy at home. A few weeks later and I am pain free. A million thanks to Anthony for his professional and expert care.

Fantastic experience: I had a recurring problem with the tendon in my knee, which had moved to a problem in my foot. All of which needed to be fixed before a hiking holiday. Anthony was brilliant at both explaining how all of that was connected, and what we were trying to fix, as well as giving me great exercises to help regain my strength. He was both friendly and professional, and the proof is in the pudding: I had NO problems at all with my knee in my hiking trip!!!! Huge thanks! Absolutely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Anthony is a miracle worker! I have been training for a marathon and after just 2 weeks’ training developed a painful injury with my IT band. Anthony taught me some really specific exercises to help my injury, and he recalibrated my training programme for a few weeks. After about 6 weeks my pain has completely disappeared and I’m back on track with my training! I’m super happy, thank you!!

Fantastic experience: I went to Anthony with achilles tendinopathy that had been bothering me for ~2 years. He took the time to understand the problem and identify things that may be contributing to it. He came up with a plan and treatment, and a few months later I am pain free and back to playing sport. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I have had knee trouble for many years, this was compounded when I tripped and broke my leg last year. When I finally became mobile again I knew I had to address the problem if I wanted to continue to be active in my 70’s. The NHS were offering sporadic appointments, so I looked about and found Leith physiotherapy and Anthony. He had been excellent throughout my rehab, profesional, kind, knowledgeable. I am walking and occasionally running, better now than I have done for years.

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Anthony highly enough. He took time to diagnose something others had missed, pinpointed the exact areas causing my shoulder issue and through a series of sessions gave me exercises to improve my posture and address the problem areas he diagnosed. The exercises were easy, Anthony explained everything clearly and he has given me tools to manage any flare ups in future. Don’t suffer. Go see Anthony!

Fantastic experience: I suffered from a frozen shoulder injury. I received treatment from Anthony Guiducci. In short, he was brilliant and I would highly recommended him. Anthony was quick to diagnose the problem and managed my expectations about timescales for recovery and devised a considered treatment plan. And gave me exercises to do in between sessions. Where a previous physio had worked my shoulder very hard during a session, which unfortunately caused inflammation, Anthony knew it was not an injury to aggravate and so he built it up gradually. I had high confidence from day one. I am so grateful for Anthony's help and encouragement. I can now enjoy sport pain free again which makes a big different to life. As well as being a good physio, Anthony is very friendly, respectful and approachable. Very easy to talk to and knows his music! Separately, the Leith clinic is also a nice space, private and with nearby parking for those who may need it.

Fantastic experience: After my leg 'collapsed' under me last year and made walking and running messy activites, my daughter recommended Anthony. This was my first ever course of physio treatment and Anthony also helped me with a stiff neck that was making it hard to look around properly on my bike. In both cases, he got straight to the cause, found obscure muscles that were the causes of my anguish and pressed on them for sufficient time that, on my cycle home, my body and mind felt wonderful. The Clinics have an excellent system to send out systematic sets of exercises that are updated after every consultation and it helps greatly I can see these on my phone along with animations of the movements. Both of my ailments are 'fixed' now but I can see how they ocurred and have the means to keep strengthening and loosening up those parts of my body. On a personal note, I found Anthony very likeable and great to talk to. He is deeply knowledgeable about the human body and happy to share at whatever level is helpful.

Fantastic experience: I’d had problems with my sciatic nerve in my left leg for several years. It had stopped me running and was making me pretty miserable. I’d tried other physios, had MRIs, seen a pain specialist and tried an osteopath but nothing helped. I decided to have one last attempt and started seeing Anthony. He asked me about the history of my pain and my longer term goals and said he was confident he could get me running again. He took a very considered, well-researched and patient approach. His initial focus was on helping my nerve pain and also strengthening the muscles around it. I saw him weekly and after a few weeks I started to see results. We then moved onto more advanced strengthening and eventually walk / running, then running. It wasn’t a quick process but it was very effective. Anthony’s enthusiasm and confidence in the process kept me going, when the hard work of doing all the exercises felt too much. Ultimately, I entered the Edinburgh half marathon in May 2022 and finished it in under 2 hours! It’s no exaggeration to say that I’d given up hope of ever running properly again until I started seeing Anthony. An excellent physio and a good guy. Would 100% recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have been meaning to add this review for sometime. I suffered from a particularly sore and swollen knee for at least a year before my GP finally referred me to a Physiotherapist. I chose The Physiotherapy Clinics and attended in September 2019. Jessica was very professional and although after 3 sessions my knee was not really improving Jessica referred me back to my GP and her diagnosis at that time of what the issue may be was absolutely correct and helped me so much. I would always recommend the Clinic and am grateful for Jessica's help.

Fantastic experience: I went to see Anthony initially with some severe lower back pain. He got me moving in no time and helped me ensure that everything was so much stronger, thus reducing the risk of injuring again. We then started working on my hip which has been get stiffer over the last few years and was recently diagnosed as arthritic, although I’m only in my early 40s. Anthony’s exercise and stretching programme has transformed my range of movement and has radically reduced inflammation in the joint. Because the muscles are stronger and less tight, the alignment has improved hugely. It actually feels like I’ve rewound 20 years. Totally delighted and feeling the fittest I’ve felt for years because I can train properly again. Anthony’s collaborative/partnership approach was perfect to me. He was focused on giving me the tools to help myself, rather than it just being about me turning up and getting some treatment for 30 mins a week, which I know from previous experience doesn’t work. Fantastic experience: I found the clinic through absolute chance and am so thrilled I did. I’d really been struggling with ankle pain for a number of months and generally poor mobility for years. From initial contact where every query was answered so promptly to the appointment I thought the service was exceptional. My appointment was with jessica. I’ve never felt more comfortable in a physio and left feeling super confident I had the tools to improve my mobility. Jessica was warm and welcoming. She was also incredibly quick to identify some key causes that were impacting my pain. I couldn’t recommend this more from start to finish. The exercise plan I got after the session was super easy to access

Fantastic experience: I had spent months of having a frozen shoulder going to the chiropractor and not making much progress, one session with Mitch and I got a lot of movement back, six sessions later I am nearly back to normal. Frozen shoulder can last for years but with Mitch’s help I have nearly recovered six months after it started. So wish I had started with physio rather than spending so much on chiropractic sessions. Highly recommend Mitch, he is brilliant and a lovely human being too.

Fantastic experience: Before my first appointment with Anthony I was barely able to get out of a chair without considerable pain. Three months later and I'm pain free and running 4 times a week. Anthony takes a real interest in understanding not only the injury problem but also your long term goals. He took me through a comprehensive step by step recovery plan with clear instructions and advice for strengthening exercises and running load build up in every session. After my final session he has given me all the tools to stay injury free and continue to improve. Not just a highly professional physiotherapist but also a thoroughly nice bloke! Fantastic experience: Had 5 sessions of physio with Frank due to a trapped nerve. Was in constant pain for weeks and after my first session the pain disappeared. As the weeks went on I am now back to normal. Frank is a very nice guy and great at what he does. Would highly recommend.

Very thorough history and examination to try to get to the bottom of the problem, and every session was really helpful in terms of introducing strengthening exercises and building back up my running, as well as providing advice by email. Fantastic experience: I had 10 sessions with Anthony at this Clinic and I will recommend this for anyone who’s experiencing any kind of muscular, back pain or injuries. Before my 1st session I couldn’t walk without any assistance anywhere because of my very bad back pain and I can happily say after my first 3 sessions I’ve started to notice a very big difference and to actually walk by myself. Now I’m back to normal and Anthony helped with every step of the way with not only with my injury, but also keeping me motivated and he was very helpful and supportive until my final visit. Fantastic experience: Jacqui was extremely helpful and professional. She diagnosed the knee issue and then requested an x-ray for confirmation. She then prescribed easy exercises with comprehensive worksheets for me to refer to at home. The relief I felt was wonderful. If I ever have further issues I will most definitely use this clinic again. The administration team were also superb, arranging my first appointment at very short notice. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I needed a last minute appointment for a trapped nerve and I couldn't get through to my doctors. I managed to get an appointment that evening as Anthony stayed late to accommodate me and I walked out in much less pain than I arrived in and the exercises he gave me to do at home really helped. By the time I had my second appointment I was back to my usual self and have not had any issues since. Anthony was super friendly and accommodating and I felt safe with all the extra protocols that were in place due to covid. If I need any physio in the future this is the place ill be heading to!

Great testing session with Steph who noticed a few things to watch out for and emailed some exercises for me to take away with me over the 3 weeks. Fantastic experience: Prior to seeing Anthony I had suffered niggling back pain for over two years despite having seen therapists from other agencies over the spell. After a few sessions with Anthony my pain levels had improved dramatically but more importantly I had a better understanding of what was causing the pain and what I had to do to keep the pain at bay. Highly recommend the service!

Fantastic experience: When I first went to Anthony, walking was very painful from a torn meniscus. Now I am walking even better than I was before the injury! The set of exercises he gave me always made sense, and each adjustment increased the healing process. His manner always put me at ease, and even when we had to meet on zoom, my initial apprehension soon disappeared. Anthony was great!
