Fantastic experience: I had never considered a PT until I saw James with his clients in the gym and thought I would give it a go. Fantastic experience: I’ve been working with James for the last couple of months since becoming a member at the gym. Our sessions are always enjoyable and focused on my individual goals which we agreed from the beginning. His coaching style is really positive and professional and this has helped me progress rapidly as I have felt my strength, fitness and flexibility improving with each session which is incredibly rewarding. Tracking my progress is simple via the app he uses and I particularly like how he always checks in to see how I’m getting on outside of our sessions giving quality advice and encouragement which I find very motivational. Fantastic experience: As someone who has done little exercise for much of the last 25 years other than the odd round of golf in the better weather ,I was concerned that I would hate going to the gym ,however ,James has been nothing but supportive and encouraging throughout .He's pushed me further and quicker than I could have hoped and whilst early days ,I've felt myself starting to enjoy the sessions and I'm seeing and feeling the difference . Away from the gym James's communication and dealings have been 1st rate, often checking in with words of encouragement ,and on the rare occasion I've been unable to make a session he's been very accomodating in rearranging another

Fantastic experience: I have been trained by James for 2 months. He works out routines specially for my requirement. I noticed that I am getting fitter a lot more than before. I have a great laugh and joke with him during the sessions which makes them are more enjoyable. His encouragement is so vital. He knows exactly (without me telling him) when I need to have a break and have a sip of Lucozade for instant energy boost with a little of break of 30 seconds. James is great.
Fantastic experience: I have been training with James for a few months now and it’s been great. The sessions are always challenging ensuring you get the most out of your workouts. My work involves a lot of travel which makes it difficult to consistently get to the gym but with the use of the app and James checking in with me whilst I am away, I can stay on track with the plan even when I’m away from home. Overall great guy and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!
Negative experience: I met James at a local networking group and at the time was training most days and in good working order for my own standards. He offered a free taster session at the networking meeting, so I took him up on it. Prior to that session we had no discussion about goals, current standing, ability or previous injuries. I didn’t think too much about it at the time as I was training regularly, although other trained professionals that I since spoke to were disappointed by that as an injury could have occurred. He was aware of my working & living commitments and my week being quite varied, so I could not book a regular pattern of training. He accepted that It would be one session one week maybe a couple the week after and we would see how it work best as we went. I initially wanted to subscribe to four sessions at the start but he was pushy and we went for six. There was no time limit on these sessions and would treat the start of this arrangement as a test for how it worked and would change further commitments as it played out. I was generally ok with being able to do 4/6 per month from that point. There was no warning about not getting them all done in time and very relaxed about creating a relationship that worked for both of us – as it should be. James put me through some good sessions and there was no questions about his ability as a trainer. The price of £45 per session is expensive vs other local gyms, the equipment and training in my opinion was no better for that money. The gym at Perton is small, you have to move whilst on some machines to let people move past you. On this basis I wouldn’t recommend that gym. The first problem arose when the start of the following month a direct debt of £275 was taken from my account. I was unaware that when I made the first downpayment for 6 sessions that this would be a monthly transaction. I was never sent a direct debit mandate and he did not communicate honestly and openly about this. James refunded this money to me. At this point I still had 3 or 4 sessions left. No mention of a time limit on these sessions were given, I was experiencing a sore back, James has been on holiday and off for a previous week with tonsillitis. I had also cancelled one appointment but he politely said to avoid doing this in future as I would lose a session for it. In the last month I had messaged and called James with no answer, he went on holiday again and text me to say he would sort out my remaining two sessions when back. Out the blue he text to say he didn’t have the time to take them and had a friend who would take the sessions on his behalf. As he was unable to deliver the goods purchased I asked for a refund, he accepted. He failed to pay me, failed to take phone calls then replied back a week later with a number of excuses including me not getting sessions done quick enough so he would only pay me for one session. At no point until this stage was anything a problem. I am £90 out of pocket, and also paid £100 for chiropractor treatment during my training. James advice for the bad back was to book more sessions as he felt I was stiff. James is not qualified to give this kind of dangerous advice either. He was simply looking to cash in. A word of warning to people to check they are not on a direct debit when starting sessions without knowing. And not to over commit on sessions as once James has your money it may not come back.
Fantastic experience: I started working with James a couple of months ago as I wanted to get stronger and lose some weight. When you reach a certain age, things start to go downhill quickly, so I wanted to work with someone who knew their stuff and could keep me on my toes. I chatted with James and explained my goals. I also explained that I needed a personal trainer who could train me remotely, as I wanted to use the equipment I had at home and not be tied to a gym. James has been brilliant at putting together varied routines that can be done at home with body weight and minimal equipment. James regularly checks in to see how things are going and reviews videos that I send so he can ensure that my technique for each exercise is correct. The Trainerize app he uses is really good. James publishes videos on there to show you the correct technique, and it keeps track of all of your activities so you can measure your progress. It also links with other fitness apps like Garmin Connect and MyFitnessPal so you see everything in one place. Through the app, I get a new program every four weeks, which keeps things interesting and hits different parts of the body so that I can keep getting stronger. He also occasionally calls me into his gym for a session so that he can assess me and get me to try new things. After just 8 weeks, I've noticed a marked difference in my strength and body shape, so I am excited to keep going and get that beach bod that has always alluded me! James is professional and highly knowledgeable about exercise, diet and anatomy, which is a perfect blend for a personal trainer. I'd recommend working with James to anyone who wants to get fitter and feel better about themselves.

Fantastic experience: Me and my husband been training with James for over 6 years on and off, James is a great PT . He always helped us achieving our goals. He is very flexible with timings which helps with our busy schedules.

Professional, full of positive energy and vibes. The sessions are tailored to suit your needs. Fantastic experience: Been with James about a month now, he’s great, has a laugh to keep your mood up when it’s a bit tough but serious about what he does when he needs to be, I’ve never really put a foot in a gym in my life and I actually look forward to our sessions each week, he’s sorted out a diet a plan and he’s always there well before you, doesn’t run you into the ground and is very conscious of your abilities but I can feel myself getting a little bit stronger each week, top bloke, looking forward to more sessions and film recommendations!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend James as a personal trainer. If like me, you know you want to lose weight/tone up but gym class times aren't flexible/suitable for your schedule and you aren't confident enough to go to the gym, James is the personal trainer for you. He is experienced, extremely professional and really cares about the wellbeing of his clients. James helped me figure out my fitness goals, including how to improve my diet. He also took the time to really understand me and personalised my plans based on what I was comfortable with, while still challenging me and keeping me motivated (which is not an easy task!). I trained with James once a week, and thanks to him, I was confident to go to the gym (and know what I was doing) alongside our sessions. Sadly, I've moved cities and had to end my training with him. I'm not sure I'll find another personal trainer like James - he's actually managed to make me miss exercising! For that alone he deserves 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: Well worth the money. He takes no prisoners, which is what you need if you want results. James does PT for myself and my partner. He does a mixture of cardio and weights. We both needed to tone up in different parts of the body and it's working!

Fantastic experience: I'd read other reviews online and made the decision to get in touch with James. The first session was great, he took time to understand my goals and put me through an exercise routine to assess my level. I'm 3 sessions in now and already starting to see some progression. He's motivating me during the class to do that last push-up and introducing some new exercises each session. He's also worked out a nutrition plan to go along with the training and I'm confident that with his help I'll hit my targets. Would definitely recommend anyone wanting to kick-start their training to speak to James.

He is truly fantastic.. he has been training me for the past 4-5 months and it has been an incredible experience so far. Very flexible with timing and working around my work commitments. Fantastic experience: I've been training with James for about a month now and I can honestly say he is amazing at what he does. For someone who hates exercising and was virtually a couch potato he makes each session super enjoyable and pushes me to go past my limits. I thoroughly look forward to our sessions each week as James is a right laugh and very easy to get along with but also serious when needs be. Perfect balance. He also listens and doesn't make you feel bad for not being able to do something which I appreciate as that has put me off training in the past. Fantastic experience: James has been my PT for 6 weeks so far and really happy with the training, nice mixtures of exercises with good motivation. I've only been doing 2 x 30 minute sessions a week but already seeing the difference. For me it's great I'm seeing such a difference in only 6 weeks and only dedicating such a short amount of time each week to training. Very professional and on doubt I'll' be continuing the sessions for the foreseeable future.

Fantastic experience: Started training with james around March 2019. He is very client focussed, asking what you want to gain from these sessions and then tailors a diet plan to your own physique. He’s a trainer who motivates you throughout and pushes you to get that extra rep. I have lost 20kg since I have started training with james.
Fantastic experience: I train with James 3-4 days every week, my goal was to lean up, gain muscle & become stronger. James sets my workouts to achieve my goals & every session is an awesome experience where I always leave feeling great, motivated but exhausted. James puts a tremendous amount of thought & planning into every session, he is a professional at what he does. James is a motivator but also a sincere, kind and I am proud to call him “my friend”. I recommend James because he will encourage you to work harder and there is no time wasted from start to finish. Every session is different and you will get stronger. Fantastic experience: My training sessions, are taken at a time that suits me. Each session is an hour long, including warm-up and stretches. I have noticed a change in my fitness, though I need to personally ‘top-up’, as I only have one session a week. Fantastic experience: 5 years ago, I was recommended by friends to try James as a personal trainer, but I was reluctant because I believed that I was doing a good job of training myself at the gym. Training with James helped me realise that I was physically capable of much more; he gave me the push I needed to become a stronger person and the confidence to train well. Our sessions are a combination of hard work and fun; James is easy to get along with and is popular with everyone in the gym. He is a qualified nutritionist, passionate about fitness and will help you acheive your goals. From my friends and colleagues, I have heard about other PTs being unreliable; not turning up to sessions on time or cancelling at short notice. For me, James' USP is that he is very reliable; he is always ready and prepared to start a session on time, I do not have to wait around for him. Also, he will do his best to fit you in for a session at short notice, so he values and makes time for his clients. Thank you for all your support and patience James. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !

Fantastic experience: James has trained me on and off for years. Whenever I'm back in Wolverhampton I get into a training regime with James and he always keeps me on track and full of motivation. The reason why I've been so loyal over the years is my scedual is always personalised just for me, recently we have been working with more boxing for cardio and body weight training instead of traditional weights and its making a big difference. He has also been helping with my nutrition which has pushed me to loose around 13kg in the last 3 months! Thanks Jay

Fantastic experience: I've been seeing James regular for a while now, and so pleased with the results! When I started I was so unfit ... my first session I couldn't do a single pressup!! But with his help and encouragement I'm now doing things I would never have thought of! He works hard to motivate you, keep it fun and fresh - each week is new exercises, new ways of making you sweat and new achievements.
