We did attempt to contact you multiple times via phone and WhatsApp to resolve the issue. We regret that we couldn't connect directly to speak in person despite our efforts.

Regarding the delivery, we spoke with the courier, and it appears there was some misunderstanding about the delivery process. The drivers are only insured for curbside deliveries, and while they often go above and beyond, they are unable to move pallets into specific locations on-site for insurance reasons. We apologise if this was not clearly communicated although it is in the terms and conditions of sale.

Our primary goal is to provide high-quality, fully analysed hay for horse owners, especially those with laminitis-prone horses. This service is offered at cost, as we believe in supporting horse owners with safe forage options. We’re proud of this unique service which you have used for many years without trouble.

We were sad to notice you lodged a complaint with PayPal regarding the shipping costs, which you then cancelled. We appreciate your understanding that the driver delivered your hay exactly as described in the terms and conditions of sale. We thank you for your understanding.

We value your feedback but some drivers will be reluctant to carry out any acitivity for which they may not be insured and it is only fair to be respectful to them in this situation.

You chose to use our free feed plan service. Unfortunately, you were unable to wait and advised us by email that you had calculated your own plan and sourced supplements from another company. Your plans were being prepared, within our completion time frame.
We received your grass mineral analysis order on 7th June 23. An automatic instruction email was sent the same day with a horse information form link, to trigger complimentary feed suggestions.
3 horse information forms and a sample were received in our office on 20th June 23. This was 14 days (two weeks) after the initial order.
Report results arrived from the lab on 7th July 23. Results were sent to you the same day, in line with our expected turnaround time, from the date of receiving the sample, as stated in our terms. We cannot be held responsible for a customer taking 2 weeks to send the sample to us.
5 working days after receiving the report, on 14th July 23, you sent an email to us, reminding us to complete the order. Your order had been completed as paid for. You received a full grass mineral report 5 days earlier. Now we were working on free feed suggestions for 3 horses. We sent an email reply straight away stating that we hoped to complete the feed suggestions either that day or Monday 17th July. Your reply was ‘Next week is fine! X’
Receiving feed suggestions for 3 horses, on Monday, would have been 6 working days from receipt of the report from the lab. Our expected completion time frame is 10 to 14 working days, from receipt of the report, as stated in our terms. We cannot start feed suggestions until the report is available to our experts.
Monday 17th July 23, sadly, the nutrition expert was unable to continue working on your suggestions due to a family bereavement.
At 11.49am on Monday 17th July 23, you emailed the office saying that you had worked out amounts to be fed and planned to order products from another company. A reply was sent reassuring you straight away that we were working on the suggestions. Indeed, our nutrition expert had exchanged emails with you on Friday regarding further information she needed to complete the suggestions. In addition, after working hours on Monday 17th July, the nutrition expert messaged you again, from her home, to say the amounts you were planning to supplement didn’t look quite right and to hang on, before ordering, so she could check the calculations the next day. You replied immediately, saying that you had already ordered from the other company and we could ‘knock you off the top list’.
We understand that our decision to help others, without your expertise, was disappointing and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience you have experienced, but calculating accurate, bespoke, individualised feed suggestions for horses is time-consuming, and demands the expertise of a very select group of professionals. The need for this service is high, as a result, we must allocate our resources carefully.
If a customer has worked out their own supplement amounts and ordered what they need from another company, then we must direct our attention to those who do not have this expertise or confidence.
We have robust systems in place to monitor timescales and respond to questions promptly. At no time did we not reply to you straight away or meet our expected timeframes, whilst working for others who were before you in the queue.
As a small company, we must ensure our long-term sustainability for the benefit both of our employees, and other horse owners. We must allocate limited resources where they are most needed and be fair to all.
We apologise again if you felt we fell short, but it is important to remember that we are real people and our staff are dedicated even to the point of responding to you, the customer, on the day of a bereavement. We can only ever do our best and know that the majority of customers understand this completely.

What a lovely review to read Nikola - a few years ago we learnt that many people could not find safe, tested hay for their laminitis prone horses and ponies. That was when we set up our hay pallets of low sugar and starch hay which would be safe to feed to IR horses. Balance with Forageplus supplements and hey presto you have safe feeding for horses and ponies who are good doers and prone to the dreaded lamintis.
