Fantastic experience: This is a great gym. Plenty of options when it comes to equipment. There are classes you can take as well.

Negative experience: The gym alone it self is good but the staff on the other hand make things confusing and don’t help like they should also they charged me more once I paid it and I tried going back the day after and my key fob still wasn’t working I tried complaining to them about it but they kept saying severs down and etc personally don’t think it’s worth the money or time at all.
Positive experience: Good gym and good facilities but it is a nightmare if you want to end your membership. Don't fill out the online form to end your membership they will not respond to it and will take a long time to answer emails. Then after lots of confusion and through error the owner received another £31.99 from me and refused to refund it even though my membership had ended 30 days prior.

Negative experience: Signed up and decided to cancel the membership within the 14 day cooling off period as per contract. Cancelled more than a month ago and requested a refund via email. Have still not received my refund! My husband and I have had to call the Gym several times and at this point only my husband has received his refund and I have not. The level of unprofessionalism is unbelievable. I need my money back, it's as simple as that. Why they are holding on to my money I have no idea?!
Positive experience: Good gym but lacking a lot of equipment and space very packed together and the mirror at the dumbbell wall isn’t long enough but other then that it’s a good gym
Positive experience: Me and my friend have been anytime members for about a year now. We tend to go to either the Sutton in Ashfield one or Ilkeston. We decided to come out to Swadlincote one for a change of scenery on a Sunday night. A mixture of positives and negatives, but just my honest opinion. I went to wash my hands in the accessible toilet as there was only 1 female one and it was occupied and the sink was blocked with some brown liquid so had to wait til the other sink was free to use. The equipment is all very close together. The mirror where the dumbbells are I think isn’t long enough, when I sit on a bench I can see the top of my head and when I do a workout I like to see my fully body when doing my exercises. Also, there wasn’t any music on, me and my friend both brought our headphones and she said it felt like a silent disco. There were some positives though, nice range of equipment and the gym seems very new.

Negative experience: Joined this gym and paid for 5 extra PT sessions, however the PT instructor I had booked with then left the gym and so I only had 2 of those sessions I paid for. I phoned multiple times and emailed anytime fitness Swadlincote to try and get a refund for the service. I am still waiting for my money back and have been waiting for the manager to call me for several months now. If anyone from anytime sees this message I would appreciate a call to get this resolved.

Fantastic experience: Joined this gym the end of last year, had my induction with Chloe and she couldn’t of been more helpful, she accommodated the fact I had my child with me when I signed up, showed me round, helped me to sign up and what I need to do to achieve my goals. 100% would recommend that anyone who is nervous about going to a gym go and see Chloe for sign up and induction she will put you at ease and make you enjoy your gym life experience.
Negative experience: Attempted to contact the gym with no response. Tried to cancel my membership but finding it very difficult to communicate!
Fantastic experience: Cameron who has worked here for at least 6 years is a great asset to this gym, I have had many classes with other staff members as a member myself since 2011 I have seen staff come and go over the years and have to say Cameron is the best trainer by far, this gym would be lost without him. Well done Cameron, keep up the hard work.

Fantastic experience: A few months ago I decided to join a gym. I went round several in the area and decided to join Anytime Fitness. I’m so glad I did. I’ve been made to feel very welcome from the moment I stepped in the door. Chloe and the rest of the team have been super helpful and supportive. The classes are great and I love that you can go anytime of the day which is a great perk when you work shifts and have children to look after too. I’d recommend this gym to anyone who is looking to join.

Fantastic experience: I left a gym that was cheaper, it was busy all of the time and you could never get onto any equipment. I came to Anytime Fitness in Swadlincote and it’s a game changer! The staff are amazing and supportive, classes are varied and enjoyable, the equipment is really new and there’s a machine for everything you want to train! It’s never busy enough to be waiting for any machine but busy enough to have a welcoming and energetic environment. Chloe is great and knowledgeable and very supportive in my fitness journey, I can use my key fob to access all of the AF gyms around the world, a workout programme is included too! Great value for money!
Fantastic experience: The team here are brilliant! Since joining back in July, they have been very welcoming. Always on hand to help show me how to use all the machines, give advice on the best ways to train and made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. Laura has been working with me to train and pushes me each week to get stronger. Everyone here is really friendly and we have a chat and a laugh - which is very much appreciated after a long day at work. Open 24hrs, I can come and train whenever I need to. The facilities are always clean and tidy. There are a variety of classes to join if you enjoy working out in groups. I would recommend Anytime Fitness to all who want to work on their health and fitness as you will be really suported here.

Fantastic experience: I originally joined the gym 3 years ago to loose some weight and tone up for my wedding with their support I achieved this Now I regularly attend the gym I enjoy the boot camps the staff are really motivating and everyone is always so friendly I wouldn’t go anywhere else Really enjoy it and feel much fitter.

Negative experience: I went to Evisa for 2 years up until early this year. The staff there are great, couldn't fault them, the issue is Scott who 'runs' the gym. As we went into lockdown I had no communication from Evisa regarding payment for the gym, I presumed that like the rest of the gyms they would stop any payments whilst we couldn't use the facilities we were paying for. They decided to charge everyone so I asked for it to be stopped. It was stopped for 2 months and then it started again after also saying I would get a month free due to previously paying when it was closed. At this point I asked for my money back which I then only received half back. I chased my own money for a week until commenting on an Instagram post asking when my money would be back and they swiftly deleted my comment and eventually gave me my money back. I then cancelled my membership and Scott acted as if he was doing me a favour by giving me my money back and letting me cancel my membership. Scott only cares about money, not the people giving him the money.

Firstly if I could apologise for any frustration I may have caused following the delay in refunding your membership payments back in July. I did apologise in the last email sent on 9th July and sincerely did not mean to cause any inconvenience.
I did not mean any frustration and hope that with an explanation that we could fix this and move on...
Upon Lockdown of Gyms late March 2020 I wrote to our members via email and inside our Member Facebook Groups. We did not opt to post letters at the time due to the nature of the situation and the speed we felt we neded to act upon. Apologies if you did not recieve these emails or notifications. I understand our messages may not have reached all members and have since added many members to our email lists.
I wrote to inform members of the Lockdown, what we would be doing during Lockdown to help support our members to keep them educated, active and healthy as possibly remotely from their homes until we could re-open again. And in return if possible, members could support us by continuing their membership payments so that we could still have a business to come back to and so that we could protect our employees from the possibility of redundancies (heading into the complete unknown of how long the Lockdown would last).
Even though we lost 260+ members (60% of total membership) by the time we could re-open on 25th July we were overwhelmed by the level of support the majority of our members gave us and the incredible feedback we recieved from our members about the services we provided to keep them educated, active and healthy as possible while we were closed. I personally was actually working much larger amount of hours during Lockdown compared to when the club was open.
I totally understand that some gym members lke yourselves may not have been interested in online services or coaching of any sort, I do. And this was mentioned in my emails and messages you may not have recieved.
Any member who requested a freeze or cancellation was honoured of course. We did not deny any member of this. We only asked members to support us if they could.
Josh (our manager at the time), dealt with your request to freeze, and did so for a period of 2 months I see. Josh left the business to pursue another career path early July, therefore I stepped in to manage member requests, however becasue we were still on Lockdown and members could only speak with us via email or messenger, we had an unprecidented amount of communication to get through daily, which I did apologise for in my most recent email to you on 9th July.
When you requested a refund for the following 2 months after your freeze had expired, I of course said I was happy to. I simply passed comment to state you had not wrote to us asking for the membership to be canceled or the freeze to be extended.
Apologies again about the delay in actioning your refund. The only excuse I have is as explained above, we were so incredibly busy with keeping the business afloat, responding to 100's of members via email and messenger daily, ensuring our staff we're happy, keeping on top of notifications and online services to members daily and making sure we were planning ahead. I also add that we were without a Manager from July and a Senior Fitness Coach also left during Lockdown so we were severely understaffed at the time.
I hope we can move forward, I personally do not wish for any frustration on you and are happy to speak privately via email, phone or in person if there is anything I can do to build our good relationship once more.

Fantastic experience: Joining Evisa, has changed my life. I have become healthier and can now walk for miles without a problem. I have lost 7 stone 5 since joining having been nearly 23 stone. During Lockdown the club, put on Zoom lessons, were I continued to lose weight (37lbs). My thanks go to the trainers, who without I don't think I would have been so successful. Thanks to Keiran, Laura, Cam and Scott. Thanks for encouraging me and pushing me at every session.

Fantastic experience: Evisa is a fantastic gym, the staff are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly & supportive. The gym itself has excellent equipment it's varied, always clean and the club has a really great atmosphere. You can sign up to many different memberships depending on your needs so if you want to do Coaching, or boot camps or just use the gym they can cater to your needs. If you don't like working out on the gym floor they even have a room that you can use to receive one to one coaching which is a personal space. I've personally never felt very comfortable in Gyms until I found Evisa and the staff and the community who use the gym make you feel so relaxed and comfortable as there is a real mix of Age & Ability using the club. I have done some coaching in the club and the trainers were excellent, they really look at your personal needs and help you to overcome any anxiety or fears that you may have about working out in a gym all while getting you fitter along the way. I would highly recommend this club to anyone who wants a friendly place to get fit or some help to achieve your personal goals from some highly knowledgeable and committed trainers.

Positive experience: My first meeting today, I was weighed and all measurements were taken. I do not exercise at all, and over the years I have piled lots of weight on. I have decided to try and do something about it, especially as my clothes no longer fit. I was given a plan to suit my ailments, abilities and needs. The staff were friendly, encouraging and very patient, I will be weighed, measured etc in a month to check my progress

Negative experience: Terrible gym took my money for nearly two years I believe tried to get me to pay more when I needed to leave due to moving to s completely different city. Lied to me when I signed up about the contract commitments. When challenged they get rude with you and tell you they pretty much don’t care. Misselling is rife here so buyer beware . They then run competitions and then change the winners after taking down videos they post to remove the evidence of thier scam avoid is my advice

Positive experience: A versatile and friendly gym that aims to deliver a person centred approach to members. Staff are approachable and are ambitious to achieve your goals which therefore allows you to feel comfortable at the gym. The Evisa team could improve on the communication between gym members, particularly around contract enquiries. I was initially overcharged after I terminated my contract and was disappointed with how the team handled it. I understand that staff turnover can be complicated process, however, I felt my inquiry into this matter was insensitive. I did receive a full refund, however this was after several attempts of trying to get in touch with the manager. They were however very apologetic and understanding and dealt with the matter immediately. For anyone wanting to join this gym, please be aware of the lengthy contracts and chose a membership plan that suits you. The staff can be very persuasive at trying to get you on an expensive contract.

Fantastic experience: Have been to gyms before, but have not stuck to it. I have never felt so comfortable going to a gym as I have at Evisa, as the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The staff are great, and get to know each and every one of you. The range of classes is great, as are the group personal training sessions. Fantastic experience: I joined evisa a little over 8 weeks ago. In that time I have had 2 1-2-1s where my weight, measurements and diet are discussed to enable me to achieve my goal sensibly. 16 group personal training sessions and I have attended most of the classes, all within my monthly membership. So rest assured you will get great value for money! Alongside this - the staff make the place! They are fun, happy, approachable - they aim to know you all on a first name basis - you are not just a member! I have never not looked forward to going because, all be it hard work, its actually good fun! No 2 sessions are the same! And the knowledge they all have is brilliant too! You will not get a service like this from any other gym in the area!
